Description

With Sinestro no dead, his ring then flew to Darkseid, where it augmented him further with the power of fear at his disposal. He came to tell them that he was going to meet with the Guardians of Oa, leading Alfred to ask him to stay, due to him having lost his adopted children following having to kill them. While I find Alfred and Cyborg’s story arcs to be among its strengths, Undead Gods cannot put the hope back into this story.

The plan also gave the chance for Darkseid and others to get payoffs to their own arcs as they joined our heroes in the fight against Erebos. After 5 years and 7 issues of hopelessness, Damian comes up with and enacts this plan in the last issue. You never know who is going to die, who is going to make it, or who is going to take up the mantle of a fallen hero. Again the only draw back is how we get from peace to destruction back to peace, it's like Taylor woke up remembered all the characters not yet utilised and got to writing this. Far too often Taylor forgot about Cassie in this story as she was relegated mostly to being one of the heavy hitters but nothing more, especially compared to the development Damian and Jon got. Superman, Batman, The Flash and more are quickly either killed or turned, and several DC heroes have to take up new mantles.

However, none of these superficial aspects do much to save the morbid storytelling or maddeningly distorted artwork. The emotion wants to be there, but without an interesting story to anchor it it just felt manipulative. DCeased: War of the Undead Gods – DC’s Super Heroes Face An Undead Darkseid in the Final Chapter of the Fan-Favorite Series!Back on Earth, all of Themyscira were attending the funeral of Wonder Woman herself, before Ares crashed it. We’ve seen him deal with losing his entire family and use that to grown beyond the trained assassin to a team player not just defined by his personal tragedy as he became Batman. Hairsine's always been a good fit for the visceral storytelling, though he can lose a bit of coherency as the number of characters in panels increases. The next day, probes from Brainiac himself were fast approaching Earth-2, causing Jessica Cruz to alert the lanterns stationed there, but before they could come to her aid, both Clark and Jon were already engaging them in orbit. Please note that Gabe's opinions are his own and don't always reflect the opinions of Weird Science as a whole.

The conceit is that War World itself is one of the Anti-living, and not equivalent to zombies piloting the Death Star from Star Wars. We already got this ending in DCeased: Dead Planet and that did not put an end to the Anti-Life Equation crisis.

It truly believes its big and gory action scenes are enough to supplement the flaws in the storytelling. Once in the air, Adam ran into Wonder Woman, who he tried to shout to, only for him to realize she was not the same woman from before. Taylor along with Trevor Hairsine and Lucas Meyer emphasized this growth with how while Damian was wearing the Batman costume he didn’t have his cowl on.
