Description

Several commercial citrus-infused vodkas are gently sweetened and bottled slightly lower (typically 35 percent ABV or 70 proof) than regular vodka. A little syrup can balance out the tartness of a straight citrus infusion and lower the alcohol content. To soften your homemade 80-proof citrus vodka to this strength, make a light simple syrup using two parts water and one part sugar and add 5 ounces or so (about 2/3 cup) to the strained vodka until it reaches your desired taste. The sweetened vodka may be a bit cloudy after adding the syrup. Everything’s better when it’s by the pitcher, especially when it’s this strawberry lemonade sangria! Nothing is as cooling as a glass of iced tea. And these sweet tea vodka lemonade mojitos are as refreshing as it gets. Hosting a party? A pitcher of lemonade is fine, but we prefer this lemon-lime vodka party punch to take things to the next level. Make this easy punch in large batches using vodka, lemonade concentrate, limeade concentrate, pineapple juice, and lemon-lime soda. It’s fizzy, fruity, and all kinds of fun. To make a simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water and simmer in a small saucepan on the stove until the sugar is dissolved. Cool completely and store at room temperature for a couple of weeks.

All you need is mango punch, vodka, and lemon and lime soda. Simply pour it all into a glass filled with ice, and that’s all there is to it. I took Monday off and we got some family bike riding in – which worked out perfectly because it turns out that was the LAST warm day for the whole week!

When you want to make something lemon-flavored, you can never go wrong with Limoncello. This sweet liqueur makes the perfect addition to a classic Moscow mule, giving it a fresh, citrus taste. You’ll need a short list of ingredients here; this recipe uses some pretty common products like vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. Why only enjoy your favorite Italian digestif after dinner? With this limoncello mojito, you can relish all your favorite flavors at any time.

Enjoy them at any time. They’re perfect for sipping as an after-work soother or a lazy summer evening tipple. Enticed? Once again, Limoncello is the hero. This vodka cooler is ideal for hot summer days, making a cold splash of sweet, lemony flavor. And with just two main ingredients, it couldn’t be easier to make. Mix Limoncello with your favorite vodka and serve it over ice. If you’re feeling extra fancy, garnish it with a couple of lemon slices. Voila! A lukewarm martini is no fun. So, make sure you serve this drink as icy as can be. You can even chill the martini glasses for an extra chill. As things are relaxing around here a little bit, I feel like I am still one of the only ones a little too nervous to start venturing out into normal life, visiting shops and attempting social distancing meet-ups. Maybe I’ve gotten too used to being so careful? I think I’d like to see what happens for a bit before joining the crowds!Don't worry too much about getting a precise measurement of lemon peel. Instead, peel two average-sized lemons and infuse the vodka a bit longer if the fruits yield less peel or reduce the infusion time for very large lemons. No matter how much you use, tasting a little of the vodka daily is essential. Simply mix up a batch ahead of time so you can spend more time enjoying the party. Guests can help themselves! Full of flavors, the zesty citrus pairs beautifully with the earthy herbs. And the best part is, it’s low-cal and has no carbs. Pretty great, right?

Hot tip: Be sure you add lots of fresh fruit to the bottom of each glass. Serve these tasty lemon mojitos with spoon straws. To do a classic lemon drop martini justice, you need to use fresh lemon juice. The pre-bought stuff just won’t cut it! You can use sugar substitutes like granulated monk fruit, erythritol, or a sugar-free sweetened soda. Load up your pitcher with fresh fruits like strawberries and lemons. Cover everything in Moscato wine, vodka, ginger ale, and lemonade. You can make citrus vodka using other fruits; lime, orange, and grapefruit are great options. Orange is a bit sweeter and less tart than lemons, so you might want to extend the infusion. Lime and grapefruit are more bitter and will likely require just a couple of days to infuse.

It’s a great recipe to make in big batches, just be sure to keep it as cold as can be. The warmer it gets, the spicier it feels! Organic fruits are preferred because the fruit doesn't have a waxy peel and is not treated with chemicals while growing in the grove. If you use non-organic fruit, be sure to scrub the peels thoroughly under running water.
