Description

You'll finally get to meet the Mysterious Man, who'll hand you a Strange Device plus a letter explaining how it works:

Has wide veny leaves that curve inwards, protecting its soft-red flowers, of a cilindrical, spongy appearance. However, what's 'Long Meg'? You don't know, do you? Well, it's actually fine: you're not supposed to know yet. So try and store the note left behind for future inspection. By now, you should know what this means: open your map, grab your Bryer's Disk and place it on top of Foxfield. Then go to the coordinates pointed by the trident - in this case K8. Input that code in the drawer, and a hidden compartment will open! From it, grab the two Book entries, the card for 'Robert Barrow's Medicinal Herbology', Gosforth coin and a letter explaining how the Bryer's Disk works (kinda late there).

How we tested

Three separate thin green stems that curve downwards towards the top. Thus, the flowers of this plant, which are yellow and shaped like (...). A single red stamen comes out of each flower. One of the visits during Day 9 is Forest Vair, who comes looking for some Dranthium. However, do we even have some? Chances are you don't - but it's fine. Basically, 'Long Meg' can be found on the stone circle north of Undermere. If you open your map, you'll note that is The Daughter's Stone Circle, on coordinates A25. With that identified, grab the 'Long Meg' note and go three squares south, two east to end up on coordinates D27. Dead Mans Fingers Pineapple Rum - a hit of sweet roasted and candied pineapple notes, with a touch of nutmeg and lime zest. Super refreshing with lemonade, lashings of ice, a lime wedge and with some fresh mintplanted on top! Dranthium can be found on a hidden location in your map, discoverable through the strange device (just like with Elderphinium). Open the map and grab the device, hovering over the top of the map, towards the very middle: you should observe a 'Tomb of the Hunter' on coordinates B14.

An empty letter? Not really - use the strange device with it to unveil some hidden text. Sadly, we can't just screenshot it given that the device is not big enough to show all text simultaneously, but it basically tells you to go to the source of the River Esk, north of Bowfell. So, open the travel menu and go to coordinates C14, which meet this condition. Close Inspection: "Not as spongy as most mushrooms. In fact the undersides are somewhat sharp. Red spores protrude from the caps". This one looks like your stereotypical image of a mushroom: curved grayish stems that lead to six red rounded caps. So he was in Sedbergh, but then went towards the source of the River Winster. Open up your map, and you'll note that said source is on coordinates J22: travel there.Bethany Coleman will come to ask you to leave an offering on the Altar of Arduinna. Where is that? Well, she leaves us a sort of map. The location we must get to is very easy to identify: open up your map and overlay Bethany's card on it, and you'll soon note that the coordinates we must get to are on I19. This way, she'll leave us a small drawing depicting the marshes' location. Open your map, and try to find the correlation between it and the drawing, which should lead you to coordinates F2: Once there, you'll be shown five mystery slots in which you should put some Specimen. Which ones? The clue resides on the open compartment we had gained from The Sisterhood:

A man named Thaddeus Cornwall will come to us, looking for 'a plant that'll lead you to gold. It has drooping red flowers and frilled leaves'. Right out of the bat, you begin the Day with a letter on top of your desk. It's from a Simone, who says has found excerpts on the 'elusive' Wandering Bue, and even some on the Gilded Dendra. She'll be waiting for you in Ambleside Library. Dead Mans Fingers Coconut Rum - juicy mango, raisins, runny caramel and coconut ice flavours. All balanced with hints of vanilla, clove and a touch of citrusy lime peel. Mix with cola and a lime wedge or try it with watermelon juice. Day Sixteen is ending day. Appropiately, this event majorly determines the outcome of the game: whether you let the Woken Dendrew win or not.Last visit you get on Day Nine is Verona Green. She'll tell you something related to the game's main plot, but most importantly, will leave you a letter: Give him the Mushroom, and you'll receive three plants - Norwood, Mountain Astory and Haverage- in exchange. Coffee Rum – Perfect for coffee lovers, this spirit holds rich depths of earthy arabica beans, bitter espresso, and a hint of creamy chocolate. Going here will grant you with two entries for your Specimen Book: the Gilded Dendra and Wandering Bue ones. Mind that it's their entries to help you identify them, not the Specimen themselves! The final visit you receive during this day is from a certain Milton Forbes. He'll offer you a visit to his shop, where he might have something of interest, and leaves us his business card.
