O’Connor burst onto UK screens in series three of The Voice and led the original production of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games when it opened at the Dominion Theatre in 2014. Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games is set to have its West End premiere at the legendary London Palladium on 1 September, 2014. The spectacular new staging of the traditional masterpiece will have an exclusive and limited run, featuring Michael Flatley in his final West End performances.

Following two hugely successful UK and Ireland tours, THE ADDAMS FAMILY is heading to the West End for the first time for two nights only. Gerard Fahy's music is big and Rachael O Connor has some swooping soul-influenced numbers as Erin the Goddess. This show is beautifully enacted with dance of such perfect synchronicity that you are left in awe. The light show is a mesmerizing, magical experience that leaves you breathless. It is a must for any age, any gender, anybody who wants to be taken to a wonderful world of artistic excellence.... With new music by composer Gerard Fahy, this ‘extraordinary and supremely stirring show’ (Daily Telegraph) combines the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed.Too much emphasis on what the performers looked like. Girls over sexualised male lead loved himself. Was expecting far more dancers in the line up. Storyline almost none existent! Singing irrelevant. During the interval, I passed a young girl doing some traditional dance for her mother. Her delight and skill underlined what this show is all about. I understand his father had passed away and was attending his fathers funeral in Chicago so therefore he couldn't make the show . . The show and the whole theatre experience was very enjoyable. The newly decorated theatre was wonderful and good to see the west end going from strength to strength well done dominion. Michael Flatley found his first fame starring in Riverdance, but he left the show in late 1995 due to conflicts over creative control. He dreamed of, and put into action, a plan of putting together a dance show capable of playing in arenas and stadiums instead of traditional theatres. [1] [ full citation needed] Later on, Flatley soon began thinking of rhythm patterns and steps for an a cappella number. This number would later become "Planet Ireland", the show's finale. The show took six months to bring from conception to stage. Auditions were held in the SFX City Theatre in Dublin.

Fast forward 20 years and the Flatley brand is going strong. Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is the most recent incarnation and it filled the Waterfront Hall. Partly for the sheer sexiness of all that leg action, partly because of the music and the fact it still referenced the dances that many of us learnt at a tender age.Dancing was superb especially for those who like Irish dancing. Costumes, music, dance and signing all top class. Difficult to understand whats going on until after the interval, just seemed in the first part to be a mix of country music v irish dancing - with no rhryme nor reason to what was going on. If there was a strory line - i didnt get it. Female singer aweful for all songs. Disappointing. Last week Michael Flatley welcomed press to the London Palladium where his final West End show, entitled Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games, opens next Monday (1st September) for a limited run. Flatley’s productions have sold out in theatres around the world for years, and he insists this is due to such positive word of mouth.

Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games showcases exciting and ground-breaking new technology, world champion acrobats and the greatest team of Irish Dancers the world has seen. We were amazed by the continuity of the show. It is a seemless masterpiece putting irish dancing upon a pedestal. Great music too. All the dancing was in perfect step & performed to perfectionBrilliant show to watch. Excellent dancing, good music, lovely atmosphere. I took my daughter to see this show as a birthday treat and we both totally enjoyed it. Excellent location of theatre, right next to embankment tube station. There are lyrical dances with horses and a unicorn beamed onto the screen - well, Theresa May was in town. The only issue I had were 5 ladies who arrived late, sat in front of us and talked throughout much of the show !! Other than that we really enjoyed our Flatley said, “I’m delighted that London has once again welcomed us so warmly, and to be able to extend the show’s run by moving to the very beautiful Playhouse Theatre makes me feel immensely proud of what we’ve achieved. I am delighted for my dancers that they can continue to perform in this great city.” I personally think they could of gave us an offer of swapping the show date that i attended for a different day in which Michael Flatley were to perform..

After all, he exploded onto the Eurovision dance floor in Dublin in 1996 with his version of traditional dancing that blew everyone away.

Due to unprecedented demand, Flatley is scheduled to make a special appearance from 13 to 24 March at the Dominion Theatre, paving the way for new young superstar James Keegan, who will be performing the lead role of Lord of the Dance. At the first half finale, the whole team, with brilliant front man James Keegan tapping his heart out, made the audience go wild. Irish dance champions Fergal Keaney and Cathal Keaney will be joined by Morgan Corner and James Keegan (also world Irish dancing medal holders) in the role of the Lord of the Dance.
