When heavily diluted, tobacco extracts get their characteristic tobacco-cigar aroma: somewhat sweet, herbaceous, woody, slightly mossy, with notes of hay, tea, honey, dried fruit and hints of flowers, leather and chocolate. Furthermore, Tabac was was born in Stolberg rather than Cologne itself. Nevertheless, Stolberg is a nearby town in the same North Rhine-Westphalia German state.

There are a great many tobacco-themed fragrances out there, so there is no point in listing even the ones that contain some version of the word 'tobacco' in their names.

Coumarin gives tobacco a somewhat sweet hay note (together with benzaldehyde, coumarin creates the very recognizable almond-cherry accord), while macrolactones, mostly pentadecanolide, impart the rather easily perceptible musky tone.
