Description

Rather than just providing a screen, the Miuzei Raspberry Pi 4 touchscreen ships the monitor with a case and a fan, which is advantageous to the user. First things first, the screen boasts a 4 inch IPS touchscreen LCD capable of pushing up to a maximum resolution of 800×480 pixels and a refresh rate of 60HZ. The monitor has a very outstanding color accuracy and a sharp image display.

The case fits both the RPi B+ and the RPi2 B. They have the same dimensional configuration of ports and connectors. Now, connect the small ribbon cable to the small ribbon cable slot located on the top of the board.Passively cooling the Raspberry Pi, the performance is similar to Pimoroni’s version. But adding the fans drops the temperatures significantly and the combined cooling this case can keep your Pi cool under load for a full day.

In here add the following line. (Bottom of the file is probably the best place to put this) display_default_lcd=0 ozzytom wrote:Here's some images of a 3D printed case I designed for the 7" LCD display with Raspberry Pi 2 The LCD display sits neatly into the case and is secured with 4 x M3 screws. There is a raised lip surrounding the screen to provide some protection. The first on our list is an LCD touch screen straight from the official foundation of Raspberry Pi. The monitor is 7 inches large, with a touch display created explicitly for the Raspberry Pi board. With it comes 800×480 multi-touch support resolution. In addition, there are only two connections needed to make from the display to the Raspberry Pi board, thus easing the installation process. A touch screen’s hardware interface determines how the Raspberry Pi board can send a display signal to the screen (or external secondary monitors) and receive touch screen commands to translate them to on-screen responses. Common ports are USB, HDMI, and Micro-HDMI. Extra Features

Summary

By default, the touchscreen will become the default display. If you do not wish this to be the case, you will need to add a line to the config.txt file. To do this enter the following: sudo nano /boot/config.txt You’d need to connect the micro HDMI and USB-C adapters to the Raspberry Pi 4, and the HDMI and micro USB adapters to the previous generation Raspberry Pi model B boards. Now, using the ribbon cable, connect the display board to the Raspberry Pi. Make sure you connect this cable to the DSI port on both the display board and the Raspberry Pi.
