Reading about his alcohol problem was hard, and at times I really wanted to shake him, but it was also very refreshing to read a story like this. Overall, I liked the Dreamland Billionaires series and recommend it to anyone who loves quirky women, billionaires who need to be taken down a notch or two, and family drama that keeps you coming back for more.

Cami told Lana everything, even wanting Cal to be her dad but Lana doesn’t trust Cal to stop his addiction. i love cal but this book is not giving what i thought it would give, which is disappointing bc it was my most anticipated read, but everything in this book was just predictable. That’s what tore Cal and Alana apart the first time, and it’s also the thing that prevents them from having a future. Cal and Alana’s story has my heart and it is by far my favorite in the Dreamland Billionaires series.I think this book would have been better if it had started at the point Cal had become sober or he had become sober earlier in the book. Cal's addiction took over the whole book and made it feel as though the romance was a secondary plot. This whole series is still on my TBR and I haven’t seen that many people talking about it (or maybe I’m just good at avoiding the reviews, lol) but the ones I’ve seen for this book have been very mixed! Considering the situation with Cami I just found the whole situation ridiculous and it made me wonder if she ever planned on telling Cami about the adoption in the future when she is old enough to understand? Definitely recommend for anyone to try this series and give it a go for a first romance series if its something you wanting to try as a genre.

Wyatt gave Cal a cheeseburger to sober him up since he noticed him drinking, telling him he can’t keep doing this to Lana. just the way he steps up and is that father figure to her when she has been let down previously warms my heart! the unresolved tension and feelings of their past contributed, but they just had this natural charismatic energy between them that was so delightful to read.He was really thoughtful when he was sober and for all the hell that all the other characters put him through he never lashed out. You’re reading experience was soooo different than mine, I loved the way it started and felt the instant connection 😂😭 such a shame this didn’t work out for you but I liked reading your perspective of the book. I didn't understand how are you a “family” and care zero about someone you are aware is struggling with his addictions.

As much as I love the grumpy sunshine trope going on with the first two books, I love the golden retriever energy that Cal has and his undying loyalty that he has.Instead of Cal not holding down a job he had a position within the family company and Lana was still the one who got away but she had a corporate job and they were business rivals. After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland’s most expensive ride, I should have been fired. I can understand from her perspective that Cal continuing to drink during the majority of the book didn't help. Same 🙈 I wanted to love it cause after Terms and Conditions I had some hope that this might be even better but it is what it is, sadly. Let me elaborate, firstly she knows she has knowledge about Cami that Cal wants to know and cause knowledge is power, she makes sure to keep it to herself for absolutely no reason but just to manipulate Cal with it for about 50% of the book.
