Description

am: John, Teddy and Frank have arrived in London. Frank is planning to be at Giles Braithwaite's house at 2 am. Meanwhile, Giles opens the door to someone. John Kinsella arrives at his lover's house. Later he climbs out the window of the house and runs away. Teddy drops Frank off at Giles' place and waits outside in the car. Kinsella goes to Grace's house and gives her a hug. Barnaby and Jones go to Morchard Manor. They tell Gerald about Iris Holman and her request to meet them at the statue of Tom Sayers. He used to be a Freemason, as revealed in "King's Crystal". In the episode "Death in Chorus", Jones exhibits a remarkable vocal talent and is recruited to sing tenor in the Midsomer Worthy choir. In "Death in the Slow Lane", it is revealed that Jones was interested in replacing Tom Barnaby upon his retirement and was a little put out by his cousin, John Barnaby, being transferred to the position instead. In reality, he could not have been given the post because it would have required him to bypass the rank of inspector. Barnaby and Jones leave. Jones says, "I saw Teddy Malloy fight. My grandad took me to see this Welsh boxer that was fighting on the undercard. A Frank Bishop promotion. Malloy was top of the bill. Fighting for the British title. Youngest-ever challenger. He lost. He never fought again."

Gerald takes a weeping Camilla to a car to go home. Jones says, "How does Kinsella got two women on the go at the same time?" Barnaby asks, "Camilla Farquaharson?" Jones says, "Yes. Is he the father of her child?" Barnaby says, "We need to talk to Sebastian Farquaharson. I wonder if Iris Holman knows where he is." Gerald tells Barnaby that he is taking Camilla home. Barnaby tells Gerald that his wife is convinced that Iris Holman was in love with Braithwaite. Gerald says, "She's bang on the money but that was never going to happen. Giles Braithwaite was a homosexual." She said that she grew up with four red setters and a Labrador. She and DS Jamie Winter develop romantic feelings towards one another. At the end of series 19 she has taken a job in Montreal. [5] Dr. Fleur Perkins [ edit ]Samantha Bond starred in three episodes: first in "Destroying Angel" (2001) and "Shot at Dawn" (2008), and again in Neil Dudgeon's 2011 debut as lead character, the episode "Death in the Slow Lane". Gerald says, "Have you no idea how to behave?!" Sebastian says, "Look who I've had as a role model." Gerald says, "How dare you say that! I would never be so crass to guests in my own house." Sebastian says, "How about somebody else's house? Oh, everyone loves Gerald Farquaharson. So charming. A proper gentleman. Not like that son of his. Well, I might be crass. But it's your louche behaviour which has brought us to losing this house and the entire estate! So what are you going to do about it?" Troy's relationship with Barnaby is warm, and the two make a formidable pair. Troy was promoted to Inspector and transferred to Northumbria in the first episode of the seventh series, called "The Green Man". [1] Troy makes one re-appearance in the first episode of Series 11, "Blood Wedding", to attend the wedding of Tom's daughter, Cully Barnaby (whom he once secretly kissed in the episode "Death And Dreams", which temporarily strained his relationship with Barnaby), where he met his second successor, Sgt Jones. [2] DS Dan Scott [ edit ]

Doctor Fleur Perkins ( Annette Badland) (series 20–present)—Dr. Kam Karimore's replacement as resident pathologist. Doctor Kam Karimore ( Manjinder Virk) (series 18–19)—Dr Kate Wilding's replacement as resident pathologist.Very little is ridiculous (though there is the odd part that's a bit of a stretch agreed) and the story is mostly involving, plausible and easy to follow, but also too easy to solve and resolved slightly on the pat side in the episode. The killer is one suspected somewhat too early, and while the motives are far easier to swallow than most middle-period 'Midsomer Murders' episodes they're a little too restrained too. As has been said by me a number of times, 'Midsomer Murders' is one of my most watched and most re-watched shows. It is nowhere near as good now and the Tom Barnaby-era wasn't alien to average or less episodes, but when it was on form or at its best boy was it good. Barnaby asks Frank "What was that about?" Frank says, "No idea. All a bit mad, aren't they, the aristocracy? All that inbreeding. You just have to accept it." Frank came to see Gerald, but says it can wait. "Wouldn't want to get in the way of some father and son bonding. Happy families, eh?" Barnaby says, "Mr Bishop. Did you know that your wife is planning to divorce you?" Frank says, "She's been planning that for years, Chief Inspector. It's what gets her out of bed in the mornings." On TV: " Teddy: Get him. Right uppercut. You heard the instructions from Teddy Malloy. Teddy: Box behind him!"

In "Murder Of Innocence", it is revealed that Jones is in a relationship with firefighter Susie Bellingham. In the series 16 opener, "The Christmas Haunting", it is revealed that Jones has been promoted to Inspector and transferred to Brighton. A photo of Jones (alongside Kate Wilding, who also moved to Brighton) is shown in the series 18 opener "Habeas Corpus". DI Jones made a further appearance in episode 3 of series 19 "Last Man Out", in an undercover role - erroneously still listed in the credits as DS Ben Jones. In the end, he left Causton CID after a mini farewell party at John and Sarah Barnaby’s home at the end of episode 6 of series 15, "Schooled in Murder".

Later at night, Gerald goes to look at the statue. He climbs up on it and pulls a document out of the left hand of the statue. He goes home.

Iris goes upstairs and finds her apartment has been broken into and trashed. She calls Chief Inspector Barnaby and tells him that her flat's been broken into. She asks him to meet her at the statue of Tom Sayers. There's something she wants to show him. She hangs up the phone. Then she hears a noise. Doctor Kate Wilding ( Tamzin Malleson) (series 14–17)—Dr George Bullard's replacement as resident pathologist. Her confident, competent, no-nonsense approach has earned the detectives' respect. She is unmarried and is also a professor. Her parents, Giles and Laura, have appeared in one episode, "The Flying Club". [4] In the series 18 opener, "Habeas Corpus", Wilding has left Midsomer to take up a professorship in Brighton. She is briefly seen on-screen in a photo with Ben Jones, who had previously relocated to Brighton. In the field, workers are setting up the boxing ring. Inside a tent, villagers are putting on costumes. Frank comes in and pulls Grace aside. Frank says, "So you were talking to Braithwaite about a divorce." Grace says, "Are you surprised?" Frank says, "Surprised you'd insult anyone's intelligence with a story like that. I don't know why you went. But Malloy and Kinsella are bound to be mixed up in whatever it is."Libby runs up after Ken. Grace says, "They're only pretending! Your Ken will be all right." Libby says, "It's not Ken that I'm worried about. It's John." Grace says, "My John is champion of the world, love. I think he knows how to take care of himself." Libby says, "You don't know what Ken's capable of. He's got the strength of a bull when he's angry. And he's way beyond angry." Grace looks at Libby and says, "Do you mean you and my John have been....." Libby nods... "and right now, all he wants to do is rip John's head off his shoulders." ( Cheering ) Everyone welcomes Kinsella home with a party, thrown by Gerald Farquharson, a local magistrate. Among the guests are Giles Braithwaite, his secretary Iris, and Grace, who is the wife of Kinsella's manager Frank Bishop. Little if anything in "The Noble Art" is done terribly, but it is one of those episodes that executes its components with competence but all those components have been done in previous 'Midsomer Murders' episodes better and with more impact. Competent but a bit safe and bland. At the cliff top, Sebastian is outside of his jeep looking at another car smashed at the bottom. He drives off. The Noble Art" is somewhere in the middle as far as Season 13 goes. It is a let-down after "Master Class", which blew me away and was the best 'Midsomer Murders' episode since "The House in the Woods". However, it is infinitely better than "The Made-to-Measure Murders" and especially "Blood on the Saddle" (almost anything is better than that episode this said).
