I love how this story, this couple follows the story line from the first series and doesn't go off in a different direction as many do. I love how Lexi Ray has managed to keep true to her story line and then have her characters develop as if you personally know them. It felt like the only plot development happened at the end when the author wanted to end on a cliffhanger.Archer Crone is brilliant and powerful. He wears arrogance like a badge of honor, disguising acts of kindness like dirty secrets. But behind the cold mask is a man with a gentle heart that he hides from others. A beautiful heart that I stomped on. A heart that could’ve been mine, but I screwed it all up.
