Začíná písmenem "E" a jednou nebo dvěma číslicemi v kroužku a pak pokračuje pořadím 4 nebo 5 číslic. Je uvedeno buď na těle světlometu, v motorovém prostoru, a nebo na okraji skla světlometu. Toto číslo se musí shodovat s číslem v seznamu! U typu H7 zkontrolujte, zda je LED žárovka schválená pro potkávací nebo i dálková světla podle symbolu uvedeného vedle čísla homologace světlometů. Pokud jsou schváleny obě verze, můžete instalovat nové LED žárovky jak pro potkávací, tak pro dálková světla.
