Driven by the variation in whisky and bitten by ‘the bug’ he was unable to resist taking his incessant geeking-out to friends and family. Ledaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced at the Tobermory Distillery, the only distillery on the picturesque Hebridean Isle of Mull. Like many Scottish distilleries, Ledaig’s history is also one of mothballing and reopening, falling into some trouble in 1837 and closing completely for 41 years. Our bottles come in two sizes: 700ml, which is our standard for our main releases; and for some of our expressions, 100ml minis.

Tobermory distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery situated on the Hebridean island of Mull, Scotland in the village of Tobermory.This is a vintage, 17 year Ledaig that has been matured in a combination of American Oak and Moscatel wine casks.

After Sinclair’s first application was rejected, he persevered, remained true to his original vision and, a year later, the distillery was established. From the pour and letting it sit in the glass for a bit, the soft campfire smoke and briny element slowly fills the room.Tantalisingly sweet, medicinal flavours infused with enticing sparks of spicy pepper and dried fruit with rich peaty smoke and a velvety vanilla and malty creaminess. The Warehouse 1 Collection is a celebration of the dedicated team at Tobermory Distillery who hand selected each cask and hand filled each bottle in the collection. The distillery has been in and out of production since it was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair, even having been used as a power station during the 1930s, but is now in the hands of Burn Stewart Distillers. After Sinclair's first application was rejected, he persevered and a year later the distillery was established. Aged 13 years, this whisky has spent time in both red wine and oloroso sherry casks, creating a sweet, fruity and salty dram with a long smoky finish.
