No, I was concerned my children would be able to unzip the front panel and escape their sleeping quarters but there’s a very secure safety toggle to the outside of the zip. In the past, we have not travelled with a travel cot as we felt that the hassle of carrying something bulky was never justified. There was no colour transfer after cleaning, but because the tent is designed for outdoor use it tended to attract dirt more easily. The asymmetric design is formed when two poles are slotted through long pole sleeves across the top of the cot and although that sounds complicated it is quite easy. Doesn't pack as compact as the LL, but is very thin when down, so easily sits inside a suitacase (but not inside a rucksack).

She did, however, find it easy to remove the mattress sheet straight away if there were spillages to reduce the risk of any stains directly on the mattress, which would be more difficult to clean. The poles come folded into sections but, once put together, are fairly lengthy which means that you'll definitely need some room in the living room or garden for assembly. The mattress is thin, as some of the other reviewers have commented - it also takes up the bulk of the space in the bag. The LittleLife Arc 2 Cot Sunshade is created for use with the LittleLife Arc 2 Travel Cot and covers the top and five sides of the cot, protecting your baby from harmful UV rays from the sun when use the cot in the outdoors.INTELLIGENT DESIGN: Designed in the UK by the LittleLife team, specialising in long lasting, quality products. After the first day of assembly, we found that it was only taking a few minutes to assemble, and it can easily be done with one person. If, however, you’re after something that can be used in place of a regular cot, then it probably isn’t for you. Mattress is fairly thin so doesn’t feel as comfortable as other travel cot mattresses on the market, like the SpaceCot Alfa's, which is much thicker. The mattress sits on the floor which means the Arc 2 has no weight limit and will therefore last you a long time - until your toddler is too tall to fit in.

Someone might have one to offload to you for free because those things are everywhere and I reckon most parents use one at some stage.Designed to be comfortable and safe for the child the removable foam mattress is washable and has a soft cotton cover. This lightweight travel cot can be put up in moments, with it's colour-coded, shock corded aluminium poles. The only tricky bits I have found are putting the fitted sheets on (they are a bit tight) and putting it up in a confined space.

There are Velcro fastening strips on both the bottom of the mattress and the cot base to make sure the mattress stays firmly attached and doesn’t move around. No, the Arc 2’s floorprint is 85cmx133cm although if you were pegging it down you’d need slightly more space with the tether straps. If your child is not particularly tall, I would say that the Arc 2 is suitable from birth to 3-4 years old. The cot itself is made from green tent-style material with grey mesh sides and a fully zipped grey mesh top panel. I found it also made the cot ultra dark for summer sleeping - really good if you’re travelling without blackout blinds or camping and you don’t want to be up at sunrise.

Parent company Lifeventure specialise in outdoor technical gear and this is a cot that openly states that you’re a traveller who happens to have a baby, not a parent lugging an entire nursery around whenever you leave the house. But when I put her down for a nap, after a little bit of pushing on the fabric sides, she settled down in her sleeping bag. We have an upcoming trip to Borneo trip and we feel that this cot offers us a lot of options due to the dual-purpose nature of it being a cot and sunshade. It features an arc design as used in top-of-the-range tents, making it very sturdy yet lightweight and compact.
