This is probably the best book I have read so far this year and really I shouldn't be surprised as I have never been disappointed by Peter May's story telling. The ensuing discovery of a man’s body with no identification meant Gunn had to find his killer, as well as a motive – and he wasn’t sure he was up to the task.His latest novel, Coffin Road came as a bit of a surprise as it grabbed me from the get-go. Coffin Road That sums up how I felt through much of the book. Wet and cold! This part of the world is known for some challenging weather, so it’s no surprise that it’s a feature here. A man washes up on a beach in the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides and has no idea who he is. A man wakes up on a beach, with no memory of who he is or how he got their, he appears to be known as Neal Maclean, though this rings no bells for him.
