For those who are new to trimming pet's nails, you need to first learn a few things that you should and shouldn't do. I've made a nice helpful video for you showing how to cut dog's nails. You can use these tips for both traditional pet nail clippers and the Dremel tool dog nail grinder.

The included nail guard helps you grind your dog's nails at the proper angle, and prevents you from grinding them too far and risking injury. The guard itself is installed after you've attached a sanding disc to the PawControl's mandrel. After removing the nail guard's cap, you should be able to open the guard along its hinge. Clasp it closed around the head of the Dremel tool, aligning the base of the nail guard attachment with the threads on top of the PawControl. Close the guard attachment, then screw it fully into place. Finally, reattach the cap, which includes the angled ramp.

Benefits of Nail Grinding

If your dog is timid or has anxiety about grooming, it's likely that a nail grinder isn't going to be a good choice for him. Trim Excess Hair (If Needed): Some dogs have hair growing around their nails. Trim this hair away so that it doesn’t interfere with the grinding process. Introduce your dog to the grinder in small increments (and with plenty of treats and praise at every step).
