Norman Dodds is survived by Anna, his wife of 58 years (and a fellow Naval officer), their children, Douglas and Norma, and grandchildren Andrew, Stuart, Gill, Sandy, and Jennifer. Those who knew him remarked that however able a chief executive he was, he remained true to his roots, happier working under a bus than in a boardroom.
