Repeat Round 5 three more times until your hat is 5 inches long. Do not fasten off yet. Fold your hat flat. When I tried to fold the hat with the marker on the side, it wouldn’t lay flat. Experiment to find the best fold, so it becomes easy to attach your ears later. Once you fold the hat, most likely your marker won’t be on the side fold. So, take out the marker and continue working sc sts until you reach near the side of the hat. It might take you one or more stitches depending on how you folded it. Please see pic 3 above given under the Newborn size. Crochet baby hats are one of the cutest items you can make as baby shower gifts or as photo props. These hats are simple to make and will look adorable on your little one. Hi everyone, I'm so happy to announce that I am partnering with @hobbii_yarn for a Christmas challenge and giveaway ❤ ❄️🌲 Round 5: Ch 3 (=DC), turn your work, place a DC into next st until eor. Sl st to 1 st ch 3 to close off round.

Hi everyone, this week I am bringing to you a crochet baby and toddler hat with bear ears (free pattern). This is a very easy and fun project to crochet. It looks absolutely lovely and is a perfect crocheted hat for a baby or toddler. It can be crocheted in many different colors. This hat comes in four different sizes, ranging from size 3 months old to 6 years old.

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as ch 1, 2 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st, fasten off with a 15-inch tail for sewing. Stitch to the top of the bunny hat - where you want the ears to go, I find it easier to do this with the hat placed over a ball of yarn. Round 2: 2 sc in next st( the first st of Round 1), place a marker in the first st you just made, 2 sc in next 7 sts until you end in the st right before the marked one, do not sl st and do not turn.——16 sc

Last Round: Sl st to the BLO of the next st on the side fold, ch 1, 1 sc in BLO of the same st as ch 1, 1 sc in the BLO of each st across to end, Sl st to the first sc. Fasten off.—–32 sc Make sure you tighten the beginning center of project, sew it in so as to secure the project so that it does not unravel. Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in any color of your choice. Colors Lemon Lime, Overcast, Baby Sand, and Vanilla were used for the crochet baby hats pictured. You can substitute it with any super chunky, size 6 yarn of the same gauge. Leave a length of yarn (say about 5/6 inches) and cut, thread the yarn through the rem st and with the wrong side of the hat facing you, secure the yarn.I used chunky yarn for this project. Indeed, I love chunky yarn to create hats. Chunky yarn works up fast, whilst also providing very good warmth to a hat. In Winter, I believe a hat should be very warm and snugly. For this project, I used two different types of chunky yarn. Firstly, I used Sirdar Number 1 chunky in the cream shade, for the smallest hat that I made. I also used Paintbox Simply Chunky for two other hats, and that yarn worked up like a dream also. I definitely would recommend both yarns for this pattern, as they both work up really good. The bear ears on this project are so cute

If you are someone who loves making hats for hospitals, these 30 Minute crochet baby hats will be a great fit. It takes very little yarn and you can make multiple hats in a single day. Round 4: 1 sc in next marked st, move the marker up into the st you just made, 1 sc in each st across until you end in the st right before the marked one, do not sl st and do not turn.———24 sc Make sure you read the pattern notes give at the beginning of the pattern and then weave in any tails left. I absolutely love this new design, and really enjoyed making these hats. Also, I am proud that I can now create a pattern in multiple sizes. For me this is a huge achievement, and it has made me very happy over the last few days. The pattern is beginner friendly and uses only basic stitches. The yarn and the ears add all the needed cuteness to the design. Don’t you agree?Pull on the loose end of initial ch 3 to close off ring. Snip off your loose end from initial chain 3 before stitching on the ears. Create 2 bear ear Round 5: 1 sc in marked st, move the marker up into the st you just made, 1 sc in each st across until you end in the st right before the marked one, do not sl st and do not turn.———32 sc Last Round: Sl st to the BLO of the next st on the side fold, ch 1, 1 sc in BLO of the same st as ch 1, 1 sc in the BLO of each st across to end, sl st to the first sc. Fasten off.—–26 sc Round 5: 1 sc in marked st, move the marker up into the st you just made, 1 sc in each st across until you end in the st right before the marked one, do not sl st and do not turn.———28 sc Repeat Round 5 five more times until your hat is 6 inches tall. Do not fasten off yet. Fold your hat flat. When I tried to fold the hat with the marker on the side, it wouldn’t lay flat. Experiment to find the best fold, so it becomes easy to attach the ears later.
