I kind of adored this book. The creators have captured a growing problem (too much screen time) with younger kids as more and more of Australian lives are led through devices, apps and screens of some sort. They’ve identified an issue in a creative and unique way, balancing the tale with the kindergarten class’ friend Bob Bilby (a hand puppet) and physical evidence (photos of the amount of screen time), before transitioning the tale into more family-based activities where the entire family is playing together outside (riding bikes, playing in the park etc) and actively enjoying each others company. a b "ABIA 2021 shortlists announced".
