The Hunger Games trilogy of books and films features around the events of a brutal competition which takes place each year in the country of Panem. Each year one boy and one girl from each of the twelve districts are selected as tributes who must fight to death in an outdoor arena with only one leaving alive. The event is televised and is mandatory viewing for all citizens to remind them of the power of the Capitol. The Effie Pop!’s ostentatious pink outfit with her large flower-like hat and rosy makeup really exemplify Effie’s cheerful – if not deceiving – demeanor. Although the Funko Pop Hunger Games vinyl series does seem to leave out a few expected names, the lineup includes Peeta Mellark, President Snow and Effie Trinket alongside multiple figures for Katniss. Snow and Trinket are dressed in their Capitol best while Peeta features a look more suited for the games. Peeta Mellark gets the Pop! Vinyl treatment and wins all of our hearts. The baker’s son and tribute for District 12 is joining the Pop! vinyl family and features the young hero, spear in hand.
