Description

Are you addicted to the warm feelings of nostalgia that you get whenever you see an old-fashioned television in a shop window or a radio with a tuning dial?

Your radio should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and take care not to allow spills or splashes to reach the radio. Do not use or charge the battery if it appears to be abnormally hot, discoloration, deformation or abnormal conditions is detected during use, charge or storage. If you’re a fan of the Roberts Revival (like we are), then you’re going to love the Roberts Rambler BT, which features a very similar vintage appeal. In DAB mode, press and hold the Info/Menu button. The DAB menu will show on the display. Press the < or > button until the display shows ‘Scan’. Using the Bluetooth settings of your phone, tablet or PC look for new devices in your Bluetooth list. After a few seconds, you should see a device named ‘Rambler Mini’.

If no signal is found, ‘0:00’will be displayed. It may be necessary to relocate your radio to a position giving better reception. You should then carry out a scan to find DAB stations before being able to listen to them. Your radio will display ‘Connecting’ when it is discoverable or when it is trying to connect to a previously paired Bluetooth device. Press the Preset button . The display will show, for example, ‘Empty 1’if no station has been stored to that preset. If a preset has been stored, then the display will show either the station name (for DAB stations) or the frequency (for FM stations).Sometimes radio stations will appear with a ‘?’ character at the start. This means that at the last scan they were not strong enough to be stored. This can happen if you take the radio to a new area with different stations. It can be good to remove these stations. Prune will remove all stations marked with a ‘?’. Your Roberts Rambler Mini supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) which is a stereo audio connection that streams stereo music from PCs, mobile phones etc. SBC audio codec is supported.

To cancel the sleep timer without switching off your radio, set the sleep timer to the OFF setting. We’re impressed by the fact that you can do so much with this little device and have an attractive piece of kit to keep on your bedside table, too. Unlike most radios we have reviewed, the Roberts Rambler BT has an excellent reception for DAB digital and FM radio stations. Signal Strength – Displays the signal strength. The minimum signal marker shows the minimum signal strength needed for good DAB reception. You can use this info mode to optimise your radio reception with antenna and location adjustment. What’s more, you can power the system via the mains or batteries, depending on where you are. There’s even an extendable aerial to boost your chances of a great signal. Roberts Rambler BT Review: Setting Up the RadioOnce the connection is established, your device’s name should be displayed on the Rambler Mini’s screen. Press the < or > button until the display shows “Sleep Timer”, then press Select/Play/Pause button to enter. The user-friendly display provides you with essential station and programme information, with no less than six display themes selectable. You also have a dual alarm function here. Other features available are headphone input and auxiliary input for MP3 player.
