Somewhat unsurprisingly in that climate, Huawei confirmed the P20 won’t be making an appearance in the Land of the Free. The coloured glass on the back makes it stand out from the crowd and the fingerprint reader means it’s swift to access only by you. The only thing missing is a Sony-style hardware shutter button, which would have ideally been included on the left. Would skipping numbers P11 through P19 meant the new phone would be a huge jump forward – maybe even twice as good – as its predecessor?

Not the best you can get – both Apple and Samsung’s panels have it beat – but the majority of users won’t notice the difference in most circumstances, and that’s good enough for me.
