Description

I should say that the manual states that for this 80hp engine the carbs should all be 112 main and 45 pilot Almost 70% of the users gave five stars to this item. Among the rest, almost 15% gave it a four-star. It is indeed true that there were around 3% of users who have reviewed it negatively. But that is what is typical in most cases.

Last but not the least, if you want performance gain without facing any tough modifications, this one is a must-have item to get the boost you deserve. By controlling the width of the venturi, the volume of air and fuel mixture transferred to the intake manifold is controlled. This amount of air and fuel mixture sent to the intake manifold also controls the rpm of your pit bike. I had a 180 MJ, 52 PJ, and N3EW needle in centre notch. Running 40:1, and the Air screw was about just over 2 3/4 out, so it’s a jetted a little bit rich. (I think) Bike pulled well, no real issues on performance just a fair amount of spooge and plugs always coming out wet (if not fouled) and fouled. Another reason you might think about going with this item is its easier installation. The availability of every necessary item and hardware simply will allow you to install the kit within a few minutes.Re-jetting might be an ideal solution to get the performance and reliability you expect from the item. In the inception, this carb runs on a 95 main jet. Upgrading the main jet from 95 to around 120 should allow you to ride on your toy with more freedom. The primary purpose of a carburetor is to mix fuel with the intake airflow with a perfect volume. But how does this machine complete this job? Here go some of the step-by-step processes that a carb follows to complete the job- According to Bernoulli's law, ''when air flows, the air pressure tends to be lower than the atmospheric air pressure.'' We see a great representation of this law in most motorcycle carburetors.

After fitting on new engine I cannot get Carb 4 to operate correctly, engine idles but only on top three cylinders. It will rev out and after 3000rpm all cylinders work but below and number 4 will not. also (engine side) Fuel mixture screw does not seem to make any difference at all even fully seated or out 7 turns. have proved by pulling plug lead on 4 and engine note still the same on idle. (on other cylinders, engine nearly stalls) It's not the price that defines the quality. When it comes to functionality and reliability, this 26mm carburetor will always be on the good side. Therefore, grab this one to make you more comfortable with your riding. With all the changes, the bike transformed in attitude…great throttle response, and it just sounds mean!… Only thing is, I’d like to get it dialed in nice. It’s a little over poppy on the decel…( I expect some ) and the fuel mixture screw can be all the way seated and it doesn’t slow down idle. By default, this Mikuni Carburetor will have a 15 pilot jet with a 95 main jet. This measurement should bring the optimum experience. But you can also think about installing a 20 pilot jet with a 112 main jet. Doing so will enhance the performance of your pit bike to a great degree. Carburetors usually do not come for a single specific model. Either it is compatible with a particular series or it is compatible with a large number of specific vehicles. But if it does not have the same functional diameter as your engine’s intake pipe has, ensuring high-end compatibility will never be possible. Therefore, giving good concentration on compatibility is always important. How about getting a more racing vibe from your pit bike engine ? If that is your concern, this one from Nibbi has been satisfying the users for a long time.

We are recommending this item at the end should not mean this one does not have enough quality. Almost 70% of the users loved this item as a great carburetor unit for their pit bike, around 15% said it to be good except for some nominal issues. If you are happy with the way your bike is running, but want to increase performance by buying a bigger carb then simply go to the next size up on the list (E.g. 125cc engine would be upgraded to a 24mm carb) generally speaking if you are using a bigger carb for the engine it will be harder to dial in. If you are not familiar with which jets are which and where the needle jet is etc then see Johnr6's how-to guide “How to service the carb and change the jets”. Before attempting to tune your carb you should always clean your carb, air filter, add fresh fuel and buy a jet kit (It is recommended by some companys to use genuine brand jets even if you are using copy carbs as the quality of the jets is very important and universal sizes are needed) How about performance gain? VM22 is here to boost up the performance and power delivery to a great degree. After six months of usage, you will agree to the fact that this VM22 carb unit is one of the more reliable carburetor kits available on the market. I have a Virago 535 2002 with popping from front cylinder, Bike has Highway Hawk Fat Pipes ( think they are highway hawk, no marking on them)Dynojet stage 1 kit, original airbox&filter, Mivv slipon muffler, new sparkplugs, pilot screw: 2,5 rounds I`m confused as to why the front cylinder is the only one chuffing/popping. I understand that the pilot jets appear to be to large but when the previous owner had the exhaust fitted she also had a Dyna Jet kit fitted,, Would this not mean that the dyna jet pilot jets fitted would be correct for the new exhaust gas flow ( it appears that with the Dyna Jet kit you get new main jets and pilot air jets,, would it be this pilot air jet that needs to be reduced in size , there are two pilot air jets in the virago carbs, the Dyna Jet kit replaces the number two pilot air jet,,, or would it be the “regular” pilot jet that needs down sizing ) and weather or not it is,,, why do you think only the front pipe is popping/chuffing,, I`ve tuned loads of bikes over the years but have never had this problem. Your help, opinions and views are greatly appreciated,, I would love to solve this issue. Jet. Pilot. VM26, Mikuni, Molkt and Dirtmax, 15.0 to 37.5 for VM26 Mikuni & Dirtmax/Molk Carbs. 15.0 to 37.5 in increments of 2.5 P.S whilst syncing the carbs I turned ( unscrewed ) the adjuster screw right out and the engine revs increased dramatically,, is this normal ?.

Better functionality, adjustment capacity, and tuning properties make this one a perfect item every user will love to have.Carb 1 (top) main 128, pilot 42. Carb 2 – main 112, pilot 45. Carb 3 – main 128, pilot 42. Carb 4 – main 112, pilot 45. I did drop the needle one notch (to 2nd notch from top) the plug seemed to come out better, a bit of carbon but still wet
