I don't find them particularly funny or witty, but I really don't care as it's a finely crafted pop album. The value of a print increases as the edition sells out. Queen Ween Wow, this album is like listening to the byproducts of unbounded creativity of for four very very gifted individuals, and boy is it just bouncing with fantastic audio delights, as well as very witty and poignant lyrics. But it's not just great lyrics about the systems that control us, and our responses to it, it's also just dripping with hooks, bizarre turns, kitsch, weird prog effects,etc. It's absolute delight to listen to, like abba on acid, or cocaine with memories of doing acid. Something like that.

EDIT: I literally cannot even stop myself from listening to this album. 10cc expanded upon the basic formula for pop music provided by, oh I dunno, The Beatles, and pushed it to new levels. This album achieves a perfect fusion of complexity and irregular songwriting while still maintaining an incredible pop sensibility and the catchiest melodies ummm in a while. Every single one of these songs is basically perfectly executed and catchy as hell. Every member of 10cc was a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer and producer, and the writing teams frequently switched partners, so that Godley/Gouldman or Creme/Stewart compositions were not uncommon. After Godley and Creme left the band in 1976, Gouldman and Stewart were the main creative forces behind 10cc. Stewart left the band after 1995 and Gouldman continues to lead a touring version of 10cc. the way i would describe 10cc is what would happen if Ween happened in the '70s, and thus a lot more cocainey, but still pleasantly weird. Just fantastic, brilliant, and mind boggling pop music. Charley Walters in his 1974 Rolling Stone review felt that the band had "concocted standard pop into their own inventive, even sophisticated, art", and that while not typical pop music it would be popular with AM-oriented DJs and their listeners. [11] Billboard felt the band had a "certain zany feeling", but that "their songs are far from silly when carefully listened to" and they had "some of the most innovative vocal techniques and instrumental arrangements around".
