Description

I like to make mine nice and spicy with all sorts of wonderful ingredients. There are many spicy ramen recipes out there, but most call for a few squirts of sriracha and call it a day. Simple is an understatement for this recipe. You follow a simple 3- step process and you’ll have everything cooked in no time. Ready to make some noodles?

Adjustment of Ingredients: With the addition of broth, you might want to increase the quantities of the sauce ingredients slightly to ensure the flavors remain pronounced in the soup.

Vegan and gluten-free. Plus it is 100% customizable. Make it with whatever ingredients you have handy. The best way to do is to emptyout your refrigerator and toss in all the veggies and protein you have. Saute aromatics: Place a large skillet on medium-high heat, and add some vegetable oil. Once hot, add the white portion of the green onion, garlic, and red chili, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Sambal Oelek. 1 teaspoon sambal oelek, or use chili-garlic sauce as a good substitute. You can add in more if you'd like. Heat up oil in a wok (or a deep frying pan) over medium heat. Stir in garlic, Sichuan chilli bean paste and chilli powder.

Since this is a basic vegan Asian bowl recipe, all the ingredients needed are easily available in most kitchens. If you're looking for even SPICIER ramen, add in hotter peppers with the minced garlic and ginger, extra chili flakes, and also more of the hot stuff, like gochujang. Try it with these Japanese "Japones Peppers". Nice heat! Firstly, if you don't have Hakka noodles, then you can substitute it with any other noodles variety like - spaghetti, ramen, rice noodles, soba, etc. Since the sauces have salt in it, add salt in the end, after tasting. Feel free to add more veggies like carrots, edamame, beans, sprouts, etc to this vegan noodles recipe. If you like, you can also add 2 teaspoon of Ajinomoto for more flavor.Easy to customize. While delicious on their own, these work as a blank canvas, so add some protein, different veggies, or even some toasted nuts. The Noodles and Proteins. Stir in the noodles and shrimp (or other cooked proteins) and cook the ramen noodles until they are softened and the shrimp is cooked through, about 5 minutes. Ramen is perfect for leftover proteins you may have on hand. Just toss them into the broth to warm up. Other Seasonings and Flavors

Chili Crisp. I use 1 tablespoon chili crisp, though you can use hot chili oil as a substitute. The chili crisp is great to get those extra crispy bits and also heat. Try my homemade chili crisp recipe. What we love about this recipe is how FAST and easy it is to make, yet tastes like something you’d get at an Asian restaurant. Just like our Korean spicy noodles, once you try it, you’ll never make your go-to noodles again. Ingredients needed Being a noodles recipe, we of course need noodles! I always use these Hakka Noodles whenever I make this recipe.Dark soy sauce. A richer and more robust flavored soy. A little goes a very long way, so use it sparingly.
