Description

There are two models of the IC400 and the Pro is the top level model sitting just above the Elite model in terms of price and functionality. JLL are a UK based fitness equipment manufacturer and they have developed a good reputation for building equipment that is highly functional and built to last. The IC400 Pro is no exception to that and the first time you see it you will be able to get a good grasp of the high build quality and skilled workmanship that has gone in to its creation.

The 20kg flywheel makes for a very comfortable ride. Weighing 2kg more than the wheel on the IC300, you can really feel the difference in terms of how smooth the ride is. Weighing in at just under 50kg and with a maximum user weight of 130kg, the IC2 will be usable by most people. It is an ideal piece of kit for home and commercial gyms and it comes with a warranty that suits both situations. This bike measures up at 120cm (l) x 53cm (w) x 110cm (h) and sports a 15kg perimeter weighted flywheel. It has bluetooth and an ANT+ console which means it can be connected to other devices and of course heart rate monitors. The saddle itself is incredibly well made with a soft fabric outer and a comfortable padded foam inner. JLL also provide you with a soft touch gel seat cover as standard which adds to the comfort levels and means you will be riding and pushing those fitness levels harder than ever. The crank is the bar that connects to the pedals. Unlike the single-bar design, the three-piece crank is more robust and smoother. So, riding the JLL IC400 Pro is almost like the real thing. Connectivity– Although spin bikes are usually a little less sophisticated than standard exercise bikes you can still get some with excellent connectivity with various apps and wearable tech such as heart rate monitors. If app connectivity is important to you then this is well worth looking in to before buying. Finally we were looking for high speed cycling and this indoor cycling passed the test with flying colours. The JLL IC400 PRO bike, which also includes pedals, is suitable for different styles of bicycle. You can get as close as you can to a high-speed bike, and that goes for almost any bike.

The IC400 Pro weighs 59kg and features handy transport wheels which means it is fairly easy to move around for optimum positioning during a workout. The handlebars are pretty large and have multiple positions for you to grip and there are built in pulse rate sensors (pretty standard these days) with your vitals beamed to the 7 function LCD display. Although the IC400 Pro boasts a padded foam seat, some customers feel this seat is too firm. As such, you may feel some tailbone pain after long rides.

How’s it compare to the other JLL IC family?

As someone who does a lot of steady-state cardio, I often find that having some form of entertainment helps me to get through it. I was glad to discover that the JLL Fitness IC400 Pro comes with a good quality tablet holder. This enabled me to set up my tablet and watch TV shows and movies while cycling at a slow pace for a longer period. There are better bikes on the market, but for those, you’ll be taking a huge jump up in price. In this sort of class, I don’t think you will get a better bike than the JLL Fitness IC300 Pro. It is worth serious consideration.

The seat has also been made with a high-quality leather material which increases the durability of the seat. Not to mention, padded foam materials have been included with the seat which is great for helping you to feel comfortable whilst cycling. I found that this was an especially useful benefit that helped me feel comfortable during my longer workouts. High-Quality Construction In terms of where you do end up putting the bike, you don’t need to worry about how even the floor is – the IC300 Pro has four separate adjustment knobs along the base, which you can alter to make sure you have a smooth and stable ride no matter what the floor beneath it looks like. In addition to the super sturdy frame, there is a 3 piece crank, hefty 22kg flywheel and a direct belt driven system that provides a surprisingly smooth ride experience. Fixing this issue is easy too because you can change the seat with a new one or wear padded bike pants during your workouts. Is The JLL IC400 Right For You? The JLL IC400 has a sleek design and a smaller footprint than other stationary bikes. However, it weighs 53 kg, so it’s a bit difficult to carry if you’re mobility challenged even with the help of the two transport wheels.

The running belt must be lubricated by a special lubrication oil after a period of usage. Consult your instructional manual for specific information about type of lubricant you must use, how often you should lubricate the running belt and where to apply it. There are an infinite number of resistance levels with the Cyclo 6 and this is intuitively implemented the harder you pedal. But for those who like to be able to control the starting level of difficulty there is a resistance dial that can be used to find the right starting range for you. T

On top of that, it is very sturdy and well made – it won’t let you down at all, and won’t wobble or make much noise when you’re using it. Users have discussed how they were a little disappointed with how the pedals don’t have the most durable design. Whilst replacement pedals are readily available, they can still be a hassle. Moreover, users have mentioned that assembling the seat proved to be more difficult than the other areas of the bike. If you’re concerned about an indoor exercise bike taking up too much space in your home, you’ll be able to make use of the transport wheels that have been fitted to the IC400 Pro. You can simply tilt the bike by holding the handlebars and lifting it to roll it around to a more suitable place that’s out of the way when it’s not being used. Spinning, like most forms of exercise will help you burn calories but that in itself will not necessarily be enough to help you lose weight. If you are looking to burn fat then you should look to be in a calorie deficit – in other words you need to be eating less calories than your body is burning as energy. We have compiled the best spin bikes available in the UK and after spending a month or so testing each of them we can confidently bring you our full verdict on which is the best spin bike for you. We have selected a complete range of indoor studio type cycles for you to choose from and there should be something to suit all budgets and fitness levels. Not only are we endorsing this product after testing, but it is also given a ‘best buy’ award by the Independent thanks to its incredible build quality. It has a relatively small footprint which makes it ideal for use at home (dimensions are 120.5cm length x 63cm width and a maximum height of 126cm), it features a 7kg flywheel which is actually incredibly high performance and has up to 32 levels of resistance. You get 30 days of membership to the Echelon live classes and on-demand classes (as well as the app and all that comes with that) when you buy the bike and you can extend this if you wish – which you probably will want to do as the software is incredible and very motivational.
