First – and by far most importantly – there are plenty of female-presenting heads for the new Squats. You’re not limited to having all your Squats as big beardy blokes if you don’t want them to be. As a general rule, you can spot the female-presenting heads from the male-presenting heads by their absence of beards and slightly smaller noses. However, it hasn’t gone unnoticed that very, very, very few of them have assembled him with his unhelmeted head. And there’s good reason for this. For Ûthar’s skin, choose Cadian Fleshtone to achieve a realistic tone. Apply it carefully over his exposed skin areas, adding a touch of humanity to his battle-hardened demeanor.

The Leagues of Votann Army Set has a few entries under Wargear (the name we give to all the extras that come in a box designed to help you play your game). The first is a punch-board of tokens; the second is a set of Datacards. Tokens Let’s dive into the intricacies. Use a fine brush and apply White Scar to Ûthar’s beard for a textured appearance. Then, highlight the finer details of his armor with Brass Scorpion or Ironbreaker, enhancing its ornate elements.

Warhammer 40k 10th edition Leagues of Votann

The Kinhost’s forges are tended by the Brôkhyr, a guild of master makers and menders. Iron-masters are the best of their kind, leading repair and recovery efforts on the battlefield aided by an entourage of Ironkyn and E-COG repair crews.* Brôkhyr Thunderkyn So, if you’re up against some squad of vehicles, this could easily take two out with one shot. Even if you don’t upgrade it, it still has tons of shots and can take out all kinds of enemies. Weapon Profiles As the most accomplished hero of the Greater Thurian league, Kâhl Ûthar is marked for greatness. Few can assess the foe as swiftly or mercilessly as Ûthar and -- once he has his enemies' measure -- he soon cuts them to pieces with the glowing plasma edge of the Blade of the Ancestors.

Another big online GW Preview for all things Warhammer had big reveals from Warhammer TV and Warhammer Community, for Leagues of Votann at the Nova Open 2022. By a stroke of good fortune, Ûthar the Destined had recently returned to Obsyd Gate, the hold of his own Kindred of Vôrtun. Ever the dynamic hero of his people, Ûthar convinced the Kindred of Vôrtun Hearthspake that they could not afford to simply mass behind their defences and await the enemies' onslaught. To do so handed all strategic initiative and opportunity to the invaders and would abandon outlying facilities, resources and personnel to their murderous attentions. You can also personalise your legionaries with a set of Death Guard heads for Mark VI armour. This set includes 11 resin heads – nine spiked helmets, a rebreather-clad bare head, and a Sergeant’s helm. Blood Angels MKVI Shoulder Pads These Living Ancestors are the closest you’ll usually find to priests amongst the largely secular Leagues, and use barrier tech to help them harness the raw power of the immaterium in battle – such as the two mechanical CORVs that hover alongside them.* Cthonian Beserk Mole Grenade Launcher The most accomplished hero of the Greater Thurian League, Kâhl Ûthar the Destined is a ruthless warrior armed with masterfully wrought weapons, including the legendary Blade of the Ancestors. With a gift for assessing enemy foes, he ensures that the Kinhosts he leads strikes with swift and brutal precision.Give your Kinband the support it deserves with a set of 16 Leagues of Votann dice, cast in semi-transparent plastic with burnished yellow-gold details and the faction logo on the six.* Datacards: Leagues of Votann Lastly, they dropped a roadmap for the new codexes. So, Leagues will be jumping Imperial Guard, and then finally World Eaters. When Will The New Leagues of Votann Go On Sale? There is a ton of increases, especially when you look at the Beserks and Hekaton. Going up 70 points and having the guns nerfed is no joke!

Based on Primaris Intercessors, Assault Intercessors, Necron Warriors, and other Warhammer 40,000 Troop choices First off, the good bits: the minis look fantastic. The detail across them is excellent, and their overall art style and design is fantastically unique. Whilst a lot of people have called them 40K Kharadon Overlords, this couldn’t really be further from the truth. The Leagues have their own almost raypunk-style look that couldn’t be more removed from the steampunk-inspired Kharadon. While the foe were engaged to the north, Grimnyr Khôhn led an elite force of Einhyr and Hearthkyn to evacuate the Cthonians at Harvester Fortresses Two, Three and Four. Guildkin and great quantities of raw materials were loaded aboard Hekaton Land Fortresses and the armoured carriages they drew behind them. Powerful ranged weapons stillfeature heavilyinthe Votann armoury. The newly revealed datasheet for the Hekaton Land Fortress shows that the dreaded Heavy Magna-Rail Cannon remains lethal, with S18, AP-4, dealing D6+6 wounds, and ignoring armour saves on to-wound rolls of six.Hailing from the Cthonian Mining Guild, Beserks are ferocious close combat fighters who load up with augmetics and charge headlong into combat, swinging brutal mining tools fashioned into weapons of war.* Sagitaur If Ûthar's actions sometimes seem cruel, his comrades simply attribute this to the pressure of knowing that one day his great duty shall come upon him. Besides, Ûthar's ready gallows humour and down-to-earth persona help to cover up his colder side. They also conceal a hidden worm of doubt. In 10th edition, enemy units will only gain a Judgment token when they destroy a Votann unit – that’s a lot more miserly than in 9th edition, when tokens were handed out like party treats. The effect of the tokens is also restricted. Votann units get +1 to hit enemy units with one Judgment token, and an additional +1 to wound targets with two tokens. Those are great buffs, but compared to 9th edition, when enough Judgment tokens turned half of your hits into automatic wounds, they’re not so impressive. His weapons etc. are "fine" (I possibly play his ranged weapon wrong, but I tend to assume he doesn't get the benefit of his own re-roll 1s, and on 3 dice getting a 6 for the mortal is fairly hit or miss), he is pretty survivable, and ofc his close combat skills are handy, but most of the time if he’s getting really into CC something has probably gone sideways already. The Leagues of Votann Army box set will have a decent number of new models inside, just like the Beast Snaggaz, this will be released early with the codex.
