I'd prefer some big zips at the bottom of the legs so I don't have to remove my boots before putting them on/off. Added convenience and weight saving comes from the new adjustable hood that has a single point for full hood adjustment, all designed by the MtnHausâ„¢ Innovation Team. I like a wide belt when hiking, the fitted, semi enclosed belt configuration is accompanied by a 25mm belt when there is space for a 40mm one. I will be removing the belt and using my own.

A few changes I think Berghaus could make to update this for 2023 (they should imo. the fundamentals are great) They are wind resistant and because they are new are pretty good in a light rain shower, but when it comes to waterproof, I wouldn't want to hang around in a big rain storm, however that's not what these are designed for.

The brand new, single point adjustment hood launched by our MtnHausâ„¢ Innovation Team is hard to beat when every gram counts. The ventilation (especially with the ventilated foam padding) is good, I removed this for another 60g weight saving. I store a 2.5l water container in the bladder compartment and it works quite well for forming a bit of structure.The lightweight and breathable Fast Hike Pant is perfect when you want to move fast in the mountains. Although, these trousers are nice and lightweight, they are made from a durable fabric for the main part and the 4-way stretch on the seat and knees, all of which has a durable water repellent finish, a sun protection of SPF50+ and even two way opening vents on the legs so you can be ready for any weather!
