Description

Monin Orgeat syrup takes the essence of almond and its rich, pleasant aroma and adds depth to your alcohol and non-alcoholic creations. They’ve been distilled and blended perfectly to deliver the famous flavour and green hues of this liqueur. It is a pleasure sweet, soft, aromatic, which arises from a seductive embrace of alcohol and coffee. The strong coffee notes come through immediately on the nose and its thick texture is welcome on the palate with a sweet chocolate flavour coming through alongside the coffee.

Sweet and tempting with bitter undertones, the bright blue hues are perfect for a vibrant cocktail and attract plenty of attention. Try the 1950s classic of Kahlua and milk, which allows the intense flavour of the coffee to come through wonderfully. The coffees are blended according to Borghetti's original recipe - steeped in grain alcohol, blended and sweetened with sugar. Based on a 150-year-old recipe, Borghetti coffee liqueur was created to mark the inauguration of a railway line between Ancona and Pescara.

It tastes like a delicious shot of cold, sweet espresso coffee but with a gentle warmth from the alcohol; it's worlds away from something like Tia Maria. Borghetti's label and bottle where updated in late 2002 but it maintains the original logo of a women and a half moon framed by a star. THE PRODUCT AND ALLERGEN INFORMATION PROVIDED HAS BEEN SUPPLIED BY THE PRODUCER/MANUFACTURER OF THE PRODUCTS.

This entrepreneurial story began in 1845, when Bernardino Branca invented the bitter liqueur that would have become popular all over the world: Fernet-Branca. A traditional recipe which uses premium coffees and expert mixers ensures that the original recipe of Ugo Borghetti is replicated every time, ensuring that classic flavour is perennially enjoyed and the glass you sip today is as close to possible as the first invented in 1860. The distinct bitterness of the almond pit works closely with the sweetness of the nuts themselves, a dash of Monin Orgeat syrup will enhance the flavour profile of your drinks. WOW you are amazed by the goodness of that sweet, delicious, coffee-flavoured liqueur that reminds you of what used to be inside Ferrero’s Pocket Coffees. You can use it in cocktails where you would use Kahlua, but we prefer it by itself as a short drink after a dinner party, or in a tumbler over ice on a hot afternoon. Go back in time to the downright dirty history of the American speakeasy and you’ll find Angostura Orange bitters in a huge number of different drinks. Since its establishment, the company has been characterized by internationality: a pioneer in the creation of a bitter liqueur made from herbs and roots from all over the world and in its marketing abroad, as the product was already present on several international markets in 1860.
