The new magnetic driven motor is quieter and the way it works produces a cleaning sensation that is similar, but different. is the suggested retail price of the iO5, but please do not pay this, it is not justifiable in any way. The idea is that all of this technology in the iO trains you to brush your teeth more effectively. ThePro 600 offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,0000 pulsations whilst the 2000 offers 9,900oscillations and 45,000 pulsations. The extra mode the iO9 has is tongue clean. It should go without saying really, the iO toothbrush leaves your teeth feeling super clean. You'd expect that from a toothbrush that has six years of research and over 250 patents behind it. As an oscillating and rotating brush, it does still feel different in use to a sonic toothbrush, it doesn’t feel as light and gentle as they often do. The iO5 is water resistant so can be rinsed under a tap The brush head is bigger than what you might be used toIf lit red, the motor will slow the bristle movements to further protect the teeth until such time the pressure is relieved. In a relatively short period of time, you will learn what the correct force you need to use.

The iO4 uses the same charger as classic Oral-B brushes and takes 12-16 hours hours to fully charge. This won’t be a problem if you’re happy to keep it on the charging stand. The battery life is less impressive. Oral-B says you should get over three weeks of brushing time but that’s only if you stop at exactly two minutes each time and never brush for more than twice a day. When we tested it, two weeks was more likely – and that was only with one person using it. With either you have to power the brush on to change mode, but the Genius will remember the cleaning mode and start on this next time it is powered on, the 5000 does not. Interestingly, despite the similar design, the Smart 6 is actually part of a range of brushes that includes the Smart 4 and 5 that sit below the Genius range.
