Description

The title of the episode makes a reference to the 1958 movie The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, starring Kerwin Mathews. Description Cut: During Angelica's funeral for Cynthia, Angelica says, "At least we know this; she's gone to a better place.". Cut to Cynthia at the city dump.

Butt-Monkey: Done with an inanimate object. Angelica's Cyntha doll gets sent down a sewer, covered in dirty water, eaten and spit up by a fish and winds up at the city dump before Spike brings her home. By the time she's thirteen in All Grown Up!, Angelica's obviously outgrown the habit of carrying Cynthia around with her everywhere and talking to her like a real person, but she still cares very much about the doll, even not making her room, "Teenage-like", just for her old doll who she has carried so many memories with the past ten years. Within the UK and USA the price you see is the price you pay - you won't be charged any extra fees. Angelica's doll is mostly bald except for four bunches of blonde hair on the sides of her head as well as two long hairs on the right side of her head. Other Cynthia dolls have been shown to have long, voluminous hair -- while it's never explained while Angelica's doll's hair is the way it is, Angelica's generally assumed to have had something to do with it (like trying to cut/style Cynthia's hair).

Glad that Cynthia isn't lost after all, Drew says that they can return the "Queen" Cynthia doll, which greatly upsets Angelica. Drew spins Angelica in his arms with joy until she throws up on him (off screen). Tommy thanks the babies for helping him solving the crime.

Cynthia is again seen on her "voyage", getting dyed various colors from liquids pouring out of pipes. The babies get Tommy's candy bag from the kitchen counter and manage to get most of the candy, but when Angelica looks over the contents, she's disappointed to see they didn't get all of the candy. She then devises another plan, this time involving her Cynthia two-way cellular telephone toy set. Angelica tells the babies that the kidnapper left their phone behind along with Cynthia's left shoe, then goes behind a bush to pretend she's the kidnapper; she calls the babies through her phone and tells them to get the rest of the candy.

Reviews

In " The Seven Voyages of Cynthia", Angelica states that she doesn't want another Cynthia and prefers her old one. As Cynthia travels down a waterfall, one of the things that can be seen on the ledge near the waterfall is a bottle with a note in it that says, "SEND HELP! Gilligan." Along with Wouldn't it Be Nice this is the one of two episodes in which the Rugrats creators have scenes involving belly button piercings. According to Angelica, she water skis, drives a car, is an astronaut, loves brushing her hair, likes shoes, wants to marry a prince and both be mayors, and has always wanted a pony. In the Cynthia Workout song she can dance and make omelettes. Cynthia goes through another pipe and ends up going down a waterfall and into the dirty waters of the sewage treatment plant.
