Now, it all looks rather tame; when compared with some of the 'nasty' material around today, There was a degree of 'innocence' with Russ Meyer's style. There's plenty of nudity as you might expect, and all the girls have overly inflated chests in the true Russ Meyer style. The auction was over in minutes and a few weeks later, together with a selection of editing splicers, analog light meters, memorabilia, photographs, and intriguingly, several reels of undeveloped film, it was delivered to my Brooklyn home. While Lamar is trying find other tail to try his technique on, Levonna becomes Lola with aid of a wig and a Mexican accent. The situations that various characters find themselves in generally are funny - with the scenes that sees Levonna get her wig and Spanish phrase book, and a sequence taking place in a dentist's surgery being the highlights of the film.

Nonetheless the impeccable Kitten Natividad and the often unmentioned, but still unforgettable Ann Marie stay true to Meyer fashion and manage to suck in the viewer while Meyer dishes out social taboos and common problems associated with the modern couple. This movie was not the best recived Meyers movie at the time of release however its safe to say that it has now gained cult status and if you are new to Meyers films I would recommend this movie along with Supervixens! The sex and nudity in these movies nearly always is played for laughs, and of course it is soft-core porn, but even today this is racy stuff--the hardest that Meyer's work ever got. The single greatest thing about this picture, though, is the phenomenal narration by Stuart Lancaster, written with Meyer's signature verbosity (aided in great part, I think, by Roger Ebert's screenwriting).
