Description

This competition is open to all ages and abilities. There are no rules on what device you must take the photos with, however we ask that no photos are smaller than 2MB and that they do not exceed 10MB.

Winning Moves UK has produced dozens of official versions of Monopoly, from Dubai to Dublin and Palm Springs to Sydney. The most popular suggestion, a tractor, will replace the racing car playing piece, while a sheep will take the place of the Scottie dog. We’re not just looking for landscapes and scenery, we want to see the people and communities of the Cotswolds. Be as creative as you want! What landmarks would you like to see on the board? Let us know by logging in and leaving a comment below. There will be three prizes for the best 3 images:

Community Chest and Chance cards are customised too. One rewards players for navigating The Cotswolds' challenging roads by bike rather than car.

Shane Samarawikrema, General Manager at Sudeley Castle and Gardens, says: “We are delighted to have landed in the top exclusive set on the new board. We are sure this unique edition offers the recognition to all involved who offer the best places to visit in The Cotswolds.” The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom except employees of Cotswold District Council and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. Last year it was announced that The Cotswolds is getting its very own official version of Monopoly. At the time of the announcement the public was invited to send in general nominations and suggestions for tokens, landmarks and organisations to feature in the game.

Cllr Joe Harris, Leader of Cotswold District Council, said: “We’re thrilled the Cotswolds will be the next area of the UK to be immortalised in the form of its very own MONOPOLY. There are no rules on what is used to take the photograph, however photos submitted must be high-resolution and be no larger than 10MB. The winners agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
