The new expression blends together a range of both traditional and unique ingredients, with Valencia oranges, Triple Sec, juniper and coriander seeds providing the balanced gin foundation. The additions of Cassia bark and Angelica root are said to provide a perfumed complexity, with almond oil contributing to a smooth finish. Build in a copa or highball glass over ice cubes, stir gently to combine and garnish with a slice of orange, and optionally, a sprig of thyme. Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, and give it a good shake. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Flambé* a strip of pink grapefruit peel over the glass and wipe the peel around the rim. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit or peg of citrus peel and enjoy!
