Polar Wash is a safe and effective cleaner that should be applied using a pressure washer with a foam gun after pre-washing with a snow foam such as Polar Blast. This impressive cleaner will cover your vehicle in a blanket of foam that makes light work of dirt, traffic film and road grime removal. The high-foaming nature of the product ensures that you can take your time with every panel, without fear of the product running down onto the floor from the areas you haven’t gotten around to yet.It’s easy to see snow foam as an alternative to shampoo and a replacement for traditional cleaning when it’s actually designed as a supplement. That’s not to say there are snow foams capable of washing a car, but it’s not the best course of action. What should I look for in a good snow foam? Leave Polar Blast time to dwell and loosen dirt for up to 10 minutes, although do not allow it to dry on. If you find that there are some deeper scratches, you can remove these with Autoglym’s complete Scratch Removal Kit. The specially formulated Scratch Remover compound removes scratches and then polishes the area to a high gloss finish. To restore gloss on the whole car, use Autoglym Super Resin Polish and your paintwork will soon look rejuvenated.

What else would you expect from Autoglym? They’ve been a stable of car care since the 1960s. Reliability is in their nature and the Autoglym Polar Wash is no exception. We would strongly recommend the use of a foaming lance or foamer bottle in conjunction with a pressure washer to create the optimum foam levels.Like Autoglym, Nilfisk has taken a three-step approach with its snow foams, but the difference here is that you get all three in the same box set, which is claimed to be good for around 20 full treatments. We like the foolproof "add a capful to your foamer bottle and top up with water" instructions for use, and cleaning results were pretty good – if not quite up to the standard set by Bilt-Hamber's excellent Touch-Less. Polar Seal is wax safe and we would recommend that if there is wax on the paintwork that Polar Seal is used as a top up. There is no need to remove the wax or other protection before applying Polar Seal. We would not recommend agitation as part of a pre-wash process. Allow the product to dwell on the paintwork for up to 10 minutes. This will allow Polar Blast to safely soften and loosen soiling, before rinsing with your pressure washer.
