One of the most famous drinks, mostly seen, heard or mentioned in movies and songs: Piña Colada. A true tropical classic that is the ultimate drink to have by the beach or in a cruise ship. There’s something about piña coladas that just makes you feel sophisticated and relaxed. The perfect balance between rum, coconut and pineapple really is the answer as to why this drink is an all-time favorite. And the cool thing about it is you can’t just enjoy it on big and fancy occasions but also at home when you have all the things you need. Some drinks receive recognition and at some point, they lose that recognition and fade out. The same cannot be said about piña coladas though because it doesn’t seem to lose its touch. As recounted by his friends in José L. Díaz de Villegas's book, the original Monchito recipe was to pour 85 grams of cream of coconut, 170 grams of pineapple juice and 43 grams of white rum into a blender or shaker with crushed ice, blend or shake very well until smooth, then pour into chilled glass and garnish with pineapple wedge and/or a maraschino cherry.

Pretty much like the original recipe but the star here is the ciroc summer colada. And aside from pineapple, there are also strawberries to keep it company. It’s pretty and delicious. Summer Alcohol saying Tumbler with Topper/16 oz Frosted colored Tumbler with Wine saying/Pina Colada Tumbler/Summer water Liquor Tumbler/ Grab the strawberry mixture and pour it into a highball glass half full. Fill the other half with the pineapple mixture. Strain and pour drink into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with pineapple wedge and cherry.Usually, piña coladas are served in poco grande glasses, but it would be adorable to serve them in the vessel that they’re made of. The recipe calls for the same ingredients with added ones and really, the differing point here is the matter of presentation, which also adds aesthetics to the drink. Transfer the mixture into a highball glass . Squeeze the other half lime. Add coconut rum and stir with a bar spoon . To have control, use a spoon to scoop the blue mixture into the glass. This is done to create the layer. Fill the glass almost full. If you wanna step things up on your regular piña colada, try replacing the pineapple with kiwi. The kiwi gives the drink a cool green hue and a tangy flavor. It’s bright, sweet and certainly a delectable treat.

Mojitos and piña coladas are two very different drinks but to incorporate them will give you a fresh perspective about beverages. This drink is actually a mojito but with the flavors of a piña colada. Given that the preparation is that of a mojito, it gives the drink a very fresh taste and it is absolutely a refreshing and minty drink.Con diez cañones por banda... y una piña colada en la mano". Piña coladas are pale yellow from the pineapples. Then, there’s already a red one from the strawberry version and the blue from the blue curacao, as well as purple from the mixed berries version. Green is certainly not left out of the picture. Try a green piña colada using the exciting taste of Midori. In a shaker , add lime juice, coconut cream, pineapple juice, rum and bitters. Add a little bit of crush ice to dilute the mixture. Shake for about 10 seconds. Nothing is more pleasing to the eyes than a blue drink because its color goes really well on the premise that it is in fact, cold. The blue hawaiian is a classic tiki drink that puts a nice twist on a piña colada which is the blue curacao, adding the cool blue and enhancing the flavors. Try an aged or flavored rum (either commercial or a homemade infusion). Coconut rum is an obvious choice, but other fruits can work just as well. Cut the top of the pineapple. Using a pineapple corer , remove the insides and finish off the middle part with a knife. This will be the vessel or the cup. Please note Royal Mail advise that delivery to some remote areas of the UK, such as Northern Scotland and outlying islands may take longer than stated.

If you like the smooth taste of tequila, then you would be pleased to know that you can add it to a piña colada and get yourself a smooth concoction. Don’t worry, it’s not bitter at all because you get all that sweetness from the pineapple juice. The name piña colada ( Spanish) literally means "strained pineapple", [3] a reference to the freshly pressed and strained pineapple juice used in the drink's preparation. Enjoy safely outside without the worry of breakages with these premium unbreakable polycarbonate plastic glasses. Add ice cubes. You can also swap out a couple of ice cubes with frozen pineapple chunks to enhance the flavor. Blend until smooth. In a pitcher , pour in the pineapple coconut juice, lime juice and gold rum. Stir with a bar spoon and chill it in the fridge. a b Pérez Rivera, Tatiana (10 August 2014). "Nuestra piña colada cumple 60 años". El Nuevo Día (in Spanish).
