Description

The Strymon Blue Sky excels in delivering a wide range of reverb sounds, from subtle and natural room reverbs to lush and atmospheric hall reverbs. It offers a versatile palette of reverb tones to suit different musical styles and preferences. Is the Strymon Blue Sky suitable for use in the studio? The MIDI implementation is a huge performance upgrade that’s more than worth the added cost, if only for being able to save and access 300 presets instead of the previous pair that were only available via the optional Miniswitch Favorite function. FAV: Load your saved 'Favourite' setting, indicated by the red LED. Press-hold for blue flashing LED, then press for save. For blueSky and Ola: Connect a mono TS instrument cable into the LEFT INPUT and LEFT OUTPUT for a mono connection.

Plate: This high-quality, vintage reverb gives you the smooth and crisp ambience heard on classic records from the '60s and '70s. MOD: Selects between two different modulation intensities, light or deep, or no modulation when set to off. When you need to get somewhat more hallucinogenic, the “Balance” mode will include only the perfect measure of the smooth ensemble to your flag – neither too flimsy nor excessively unobtrusive. Consolidate that with the Plate mode, and you have the ideal setting for shoegazing, dream pop, and surrounding.Yes, the Strymon Blue Sky has a dedicated shimmer effect, which adds ethereal and harmonically rich overtones to your reverb sound. It creates a dreamy and atmospheric ambiance. Does the Strymon Blue Sky have delay capabilities?

Strymon outfitted the blueSky with three diverse reverb sorts. “Room” is the most adaptable setting, equipped for emulating a room or a show lobby. “Spring” yields a brilliant, exemplary tone like what you’d hear in a vintage Bumper amp, while “Plate” is a rich, heavenly setting appropriate for blissed-out feeling. Pure in tone and dedicated in purpose, the Blue Sky was created by Strymon to deliver the sweetest reverbs known to mankind, in a compact pedal that fits on your board. Thanks to talented sound designers, programmers, a powerful SHARC processor and probably a million cups of coffee Strymon have excelled themselves. The Blue Sky offers three lush reverb tones and an impressive amount of control to get the sound exactly right. Send a MIDI Program Change message from your connected MIDI device to blueSky. The LED will stop flashing and blueSky will save the settings to the preset location that corresponds with the MIDI Program Change message it received. The Strymon BlueSky on the other hand features a comparatively small three reverb sounds with plate, room, and spring modes. This is a somewhat of a simplification though. You’ve also got a dedicated shimmer knob, which lets you add those octave-infused reverb tails to any of the sounds, as well as a mod switch for some chorus-like warble. CONTROLS Decay, Pre-delay, Low, High, Mix, Shimmer, three-way Verb switch (spring, plate, room), three-way Mod switch (off/light/deep), on/off footswitch, favourite footswitch, mono/stereo input switch

Enormous Sky’s different motors are similarly as helpful for experimentation, and the way to these miracles is playing off the sounds it creates. Our most profound moment with the Cloudburst however, happened when we paired it with other esoteric pedals, such as the Chase Bliss Mood or the Hologram Electronics Microcosm. In tandem with either of these, the Cloudburst is transformed into a glitchy weapon of lo-fi ambience that Thom Yorke could write an album on top of. Yes, the Strymon Blue Sky is designed to provide clarity and presence in a live gig setting. Its high-quality reverbs are known to blend well with other instruments and cut through the mix without getting lost. How would you describe the sound quality of the Strymon Blue Sky?

IN: High impedance, ultra low-noise, discrete Class A JFET preamp input. TRS adapter cable required for stereo input signal.Strymon's Blue Sky, the pedal that revolutionized compact reverb pedals, has evolved! Delivering the most majestic and lush ambient sounds one could imagine, the second-generation Blue Sky adds significant new features — to give you additional flexibility, power and ease-of-use on stage and in the studio. Adding a 'Shimmer' control, a tone-bending 'Mod' switch, and a new 'Spring' algorithm into the equation — Strymon has somehow made their acclaimed Blue Sky stompbox even better! If you’re looking for something that doesn’t require menu diving or sub-menus to get the best out of, or you’re just more likely to use more traditional reverb types, then we’d go for the BlueSky. You’re not super limited to traditional sounds should the mood take you, but you’re less likely to suffer from option paralysis.
