We recommend that all deep scratches repaired with PU Repair Pen are later treated with PU Repair Spray for best results. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation but avoid exposure to strong drafts and sunlight during application and drying processes. Simply mop over your floor to add an extra protective layer and make day to day cleaning even easier. When the first protective film is firm to walk on (after approximately 1 hour), mop a second coat and allow to dry for at least 12 hours before the floor is walked on, ideally overnight. Use the grey abrasive fleece to ensure the surface is as even as possible and ensure the area is free from dust and dirt before application. Shake the spray can vigorously before spraying onto the damaged area at a distance of about 30-40 cm. For best results, apply 2-3 times – allowing the protective film to air for about 5-10 mins between coats.

Work on erasing deeper scratches with the plastic wedge first, at right angles to the crater, so that any excess is removed.

Do not allow Clean and Strip to dry on the floor. Always ensure the surface is cleaned with clear water within 10 minutes from application. For this reason, work in sections.

IMPORTANT: Gloss level between the repaired area and the factory finish may differ. Always test vinyl floor repair kit products on left over material or in an inconspicuous area prior to the repair to be sure you will be satisfied with the results.

Use the scratch removal tools on luxury vinyl floors with a factory applied PU/PUR polyurethane coating. The scratch repair kit is engineered to accommodate most finished flooring gloss levels from natural matte finish to a medium satin gloss shine. Use the supplied white pad for application and the green pad for intensive cleaning and removal stubborn stains and dirt. Note that the green pad is not recommended for use with rubber floors. To prepare the brush tip for repairs, first shake the pen vigorously for at least 15 seconds, remove the cap and release air by pushing the button once before use. Regular polishing with Floor Cleaner R 1000 increases the resistance of the Floor Mat protective coating especially in high traffic areas.
