I really loved Russell. I HATED Bird. Like actual, physical hate. He was so annoying and horrible and just ugh! I wasn’t a fan of Anja either. Fred was ok... They had to stay in the bunker and all attempts to escape resulted in punishments. These punishments could vary from not getting any food, a very hungry dog being sent down, major changes in the temperature and loud high pitched noises. They were hungry at most times and the life in the bunker was definitely not an easy one. They all longed to escape but the ‘Man Upstairs’ who had kidnapped them made this impossible. He watched them all through the camera’s at the ceilings and he could hear them through the microphones next to the camera. He was able to control everything in the bunker. The Bunker Diary (2013), by British author Kevin Brooks, follows the lethal trials of a 16-year-old teenager, Linus Weems, who is inexplicably captured and thrown into a bunker. The novel received the 2014 Carnegie Medal, the highest honor in the U.K. given to children’s literature. The award created a lot of disagreement in the U.K., as The Bunker Diary has much violence and no positive ending, and the lessons it imparts are perhaps unhelpful to teens. The premise was heavily influenced by Jean-Paul Sartre’s play No Exit (1944) , in which several adults are forced to live together in a room where they can never close their eyes.

Y es tan malo que ocupa los tres primeros puestos. Mis felicitaciones al que intento escribir una novela y termino con esto como resultado. Women's Mysteries: Linus once catches Jenny going to Anja's room, and he asked her what she was doing in there. Jenny looked embarrassed, blushed, and replied that she wanted to ask Anja about a "girl thing". Linus doesn't delve much further into this subject.Habran leido otro? Puede que existan varios con el mismo nombre. No existe otra explicacion. No puede ser, escapa toda logica. Exact Words: When explaining to Jenny that Russell died, Linus tells her that he lost his life and had cancer. He notes that he didn't tell her everything, but he didn't lie.

En primer lugar, la historia es muy interesante pero se ve empobrecida por el desarrollo que tuvo a lo largo de todo el libro. Ma non è uno young adult. Non è un romanzo tenero, non è un romanzo da poter leggere con leggerezza. Driven to Suicide: Russell. He took his glass eye out, smashed it on the floor, and slit his wrists with one of the shards. Even though The Bunker Diary is chosen by a panel of librarians I honestly think that this will go on to win other awards chosen by readers themselves. Books such as The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Slated by Teri Terry have won awards many times because the readers themselves are so passionate about the books that they read and this has nothing to do with the concept of the story or the content, just that they are undeniably well-written books which appeal to a diverse audience.A 2013 novel by Kevin Brooks. Told in the form of Linus's diary after he abducted by a mysterious man and held in an underground bunker, where he is being watched at all times. It won the 2014 Carnegie Medal, becoming very controversial as a result and being challenged by multiple libraries.

Brooks himself pointed out that "young people are wise enough, if they are watching or reading something they don't like, to stop doing it. They are not idiots." Yes, I think it is a fitting title. It summarizes where the book is about. If you think about a Bunker Diary you immediately think it must be a diary about a bunker. I think a lot of people get curious about this title because what kind of bunker is this and what happens in the bunker? Defector from Decadence: Linus's father is a famous and wealthy comic book author, while Linus himself ran away from school and lives on the streets.

Ambiguous Situation: One day, the power to the bunker is cut off, leaving the remaining captives to slowly die. They never find out if the kidnapper died and was unable to look over the bunker, or if he just simply gave up on this game. Room meets Lord of the Flies, The Bunker Diary is award-winning, young adult writer Kevin Brooks’s pulse-pounding exploration of what happens when your worst nightmare comes true – and how will you survive?
