Build/Features

These pads are large, angled, oval, Hybrid type and are very comfortable. I would say almost unbeatable in the comfort category. Komfort: für mich sind die Kopfhörer viel besser als die DT880. Weil die Ohrmuscheln so groß sind, daß meine Ohren nirgends anstossen. Beim DT880 liegen die Ohrmuscheln direkt auf dem Stoff auf. Das hat mich bisher nicht gestört aber durch den höheren Komfort hier fällt es einem dann doch auf. Was auch besser ist für mich ist die fast komplette Offenheit, es fühlt sich natürlicher an und im DT880 hört man bei ausgeschalteter Musik so ein wenig das Eigenrauschen des Ohrs, hier nicht. The lower midrange is quite linear sounding and I found the balance between the bass and midrange to be quite even with a few caveats; the midrange is definitely a little warmer than neutral but it helps give vocals a nice tonality and acoustic guitar is presented with rather natural sounding timbre.
