The armor was presumably tested and worked at various times by Stark and Banner before its ultimate perfection and completion. Ironically, Mark XLIV managed to successfully defeat the Hulk, unlike its comic version, who never managed to do it without being completely destroyed in the process. The armor can also enter high speed flight, likely not as fast as other armor models due to it's bulk and heavy design for durability and strength, but flight systems none the less. Capable of heading from one side of the battle of Wakanda to another within minutes, to go to rescue fellow Avenger Vision. Not much is shown of its flight, but it is capable of being used as propulsion much as the other Iron Man armors do. Iron Man with a new left arm Should the Hulkbuster armor sustain heavy damage, Veronica hovering above the armor will respond to the authorized user's command by sending spare parts to replace the ones that were damaged. For instance, when Hulk drove a pole into the Hulkbuster's left arm and severely damaged it, upon the command of Stark, Veronica releases several armor parts that would form an alternate left arm for the armor to battle Hulk. The capabilities and attributes of the Mark XLVIII are still very much unknown. To the point where some have questioned whether or not the original Mark XLIV Hulkbuster Mark I would be superior in design function and weaponry to 48. However, there are likely assumptions and factual prospects given to the Mark XLVIII on screen in Avengers Infinity War, which can still be qualified until proven other wise. Missiles: The XLIV is able to launch small missiles which Stark used to increase damage to Hulk after dropping him into the building under construction. The RICS allows pilot to control the armor without being inside standard Iron Man Armor. This suggests the armor is separate armor unit and is not modular extension.the "Hulkbuster system" is very similar to the original mark XLIII, it does contain "J.A.R.V.I.S." software to help with its needs, as well "Veronica" which controls the airborne modular parts pod. Arm Restraint: The XLIV suit's forearm is able to expand over its fist like a sleeve, which was used to trap Hulk's arm after he grabbed the suit's fist. Repulsors: The armor has the ability to shoot repulsor beams strong enough to hold down Hulk, if only for a while. The Mark XLIV is a playable armor in the game. The armor's first appearance is when the player deploys the hulkbuster, where as of Tony battles off against the Mind-controlled Hulk.

Its design was completely based on the Hulkbuster Armor from the comic books, confirming that this is the same armor with the same name as the one from the comics. The Mark XLIV is extremely large in size. The armor has a dark red tone as its overall plating color, along with golden plates in various areas of its structure. It is covered with layered pieces of metal and has multiple Arc Reactors around its body. The Mark XLIV Heads-Up Display Like all of his armors, the suit contains a heads up display within the helmet to allow Stark to analyze the environment. This armors weaponry is sadly not consistently shown. The only known weaponry it has shown of are revolved around basic Iron Man abilities. This standard set of tools include. The cutscene shows that they have won, finishing the Mandarin. But still, shortly, the Hulkbuster explodes. Too sad.. After Scarlet Witch manipulated Doctor Bruce Banner into turning into Hulk, Tony Stark had no other choice but to deploy the system as all of the other Avengers with the exception of Hawkeye were incapacitated. The armor was deployed from Veronica and came split into two separate parts. The first part was a metal containment shell which helped to confine Hulk for a brief period of time.

This armor was based on the armor with the same design in the comics, which is the Hulkbuster Armor. The Mark XLIV's design changes it's size except from Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. It is somehow enlargens is size. The Mark XLVIII possesses and grants the user enhanced strength, speed and durability. This armor has been said to be designed and capable of taking on the Incredible Hulk and has fought against Cull Obsidian. Capable of leaping great distances in the air and (allegedly) breaking through portions of mountains. Its speed is also impressive able to keep pace with Cull Obsidianin combat as well as take on several Outriders, which are portrayed as carnivorous animal like beasts, though noted that enough of them have overwhelmed the Hulkbuster and got the better of it, before fellow Avenger Thor came to the rescue. Its durability is also useful, taking falls from great leaps, blows from Outriders, and some hits from Cull Obsidian, until he was capable of causing damage to the armor in close combat, taking it's arm. Glenn Talbot supplied his troops with with Hulkbuster armors and had them use it to steal a cannon from Thaddeus Ross. One of the Hulkbusters participated in Talbot's plan to kidnap Betty Ross and fought the Hulk, who defeated him and used the armor to destroy the generators charging the electrical box which Betty was being held in. Betty stopped the fight by revealing her identity, prompting the Hulkbuster to leave to report to Thaddeus. Sedative Gas: The Hulkbuster armor contains Sedative gas in the wrist of its right arm to spray at the rampaging Hulk to (hypothetically) put him to sleep.

Iron Man suits up in the Hulkbuster Armor Using an independent propulsion system, each section can fly to the user from a drop pod hovering around the combat zone and automatically assemble into the Hulkbuster Armor. Despite being composed of individual parts, the XLIV is still able to sustain quite a few blows from Hulk, unlike the XLII. F.R.I.D.A.Y. , also known as Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth. is an artificial intelligence program likely capable of integrating into the armors systems to aid the pilot of the Mark XLVIII, as done with such other Iron Man Armor Models. F.R.I.D.A.Y. is capable of controlling the armor's weaponry and computer systems as well as summoning other armors to Tony Stark's command. The armor is also capable without the use of F.R.I.D.A.Y. as its own computer systems and user integration work as well. After its creation, the armor's pieces were stored in Veronica's pod and placed inside one of Stark's Satellites for future use. From then on Veronica and the armor were never used, until the events of Age of Ultron in the near future. The Lego Marvel Superheroes' Hulkbuster is based on a Model 13 armor. A plug-in armor where it is used when Hulk confronted Iron Man.
