Description

In the middle part of the film where Christopher Robin and Pooh are in the woods where the sign said about Heffalumps and Woozles, Christopher Robin tried to tell him that Heffalumps and Woozles aren't real, but Pooh, believing they are, causes them to follow his and Christopher's footsteps instead of following Christopher's compass (which pointed to the sign's direction), causing Christopher to yell at him, leaving Pooh so hurt that he left Christopher Robin alone. Christopher then searched for Pooh and ended up falling and getting him trapped in a trap meant for Heffalumps an Woozles. After trying to escape and getting unconscious, it suddenly started to rain and the trap where Christopher Robin was trapped began to flood. While unconscious, Christopher has a dream in it where a Heffalump kidnaps him. The Heffalump resembles a real elephant a lot more than the ones in the original.

In a song about Heffalumps, Pooh, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Tigger fear these creatures with "fiery eyes" and "tails with spikes."

Winnie the Pooh and his friends hear a strange noise and find a set of large, perfectly circular footprints in the Hundred Acre Wood (and, in Tigger's case, a major earthquake in the middle of the night, causing his family portrait to be severely damaged). They jump to the conclusion that the noise and prints are from a Heffalump, and Rabbit organizes an expedition to go try to catch it; a disappointed Roo is told to stay behind, as everyone believes the expedition is too dangerous for one as young as he. Pooh walks along happily, carrying a honey pot (most likely the one he took from the transparent Heffalump). A bee-like Heffalump flies right behind him, buzzing loudly in tune with the music, but Pooh doesn't even notice her. She taps Pooh on the head with her trunk, and when Pooh turns to look at her, she grabs the honey pot from him and flies off, continuing to buzz. Not so with this appalling attempt at a movie. This movie was the perfect first movie to bring our 3 and a half yr old daughter! It had a wonderful lesson for all of us: don't be judgmental about things we don't yet know. The Tigger Movie: " Someone Like Me" • " Whoop-de-Dooper Bounce" • " Lull-a-Bee" • " Round My Family Tree" • " How to Be a Tigger" • " Your Heart Will Lead You Home" After the appearances of the heffalump family and Heff himself, actual heffalumps are not seen again in any Winnie the Pooh animation, except as intimidating figments, as seen in Tigger's song sequence in Boo to You Too! Winnie the Pooh, a Halloween special that aired in 1996. While they are indeed mentioned by the main characters in other Pooh works as well, none are physically seen. At 18, you may think I am a little old to be watching this movie, but as a lover of the Winnie the Pooh characters I thought why not? So I watched Pooh's Heffalump Movie and was delighted by it. It is so charming, sweet and endearing and has a lot of heart too. Plenty of funny and touching moments here too. It isn't as good as the 1977 movie or the 80s TV show, but it is still a delightful movie, with enough charm for especially children. Adults may complain there aren't enough jokes for them, but if they see the movie they will probably be content by their child's happy smile as they watch it and by the charm the film has. The film completely ignores previous interactions with the Heffalumps in the TV series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. There it has already been shown that Heffalumps are real creatures and not all of them are so scary. Earlier Heffalumps are bipeds, they wear clothes, and are of a different color to the ones in the movie, which are purple and are quadrupeds. The honey pots warn Pooh to beware again as Pooh tries to hide from them. Pooh ignores the warnings of the honey pots and tries to run away from them, but then stops in surprise. It turns out that Pooh has almost run into a parade of Heffalumps and Woozles. The Woozle bandleader grows his brown nose bigger and the yellow mouth attached to the brown nose stretches while the nose keeps growing until it explodes, being turned into a flute. The bandleader Woozle then marches as he plays his new flute nose.Alice in Wonderland: Alice • Mad Hatter • March Hare • Dormouse • White Rabbit • Cheshire Cat • Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee • Queen of Hearts • King of Hearts • Caterpillar • Dinah • Oysters Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin: " Forever & Ever" • " Adventure is a Wonderful Thing" • " If It Says So" • " Wherever You Are" • " Everything is Right" Springtime With Roo: " We're Huntin' Eggs Today" • " Sniffley Sniff" • " Easter Day With You" • " The Way It Must Be Done" Despite the film's title, Roo is actually the main protagonist of the film, with Rabbit as the main antagonist of the film and Pooh reduced to the subtagonist in the film.

Sleeping Beauty: Aurora • Phillip • Maleficent • Flora • Fauna • Merryweather • Diablo • Samson • King Stefan • Goon • Owl • Rabbit In the beginning of the dream, Pooh floats out of his body and flies down to the ground as Tigger's voice tells him that Heffalumps and Woozles steal honey. He lands in a dreamy area, still asleep, when suddenly a group of singing honey pots, the same pots he fell asleep guarding, appear and warn Pooh to beware of the Heffalumps and Woozles. Pooh listens to them until, to his surprise, they just as suddenly vanish. As Pooh looks around for the pots (which are continuing to sing), they reappear and begin chanting that he must beware. Pooh gets scared by their sudden reappearance and runs away from the honey pots. But this was a cute movie. I guess I would have enjoyed this more so if I were younger. Lumpy is a Heffalump. A stranger to the Hundred Acre Woods gang. Roo befriends him and they're off doing stuff little children do. Roo joins the heffalump-hunting expedition without his mom's knowledge, and ended up discovering Lumpy and captured him. Roo soon discovered that none of the scary things Pooh and the others had told him about heffalumps were true. The two became fast friends and were seen celebrating their friendship in the song " Shoulder to Shoulder," in which Lumpy finally "uncaptured" himself. Lumpy begins to miss his mother and Roo decides to help him find her by going to the rest of the gang for help. This is the second Winnie the Pooh film not to feature a narrator. However, Pooh does fill in for the narrator at the beginning and end of the film.I loved Lumpy! He was so cute! His randomness, his songs, his attitude, his accent, his laugh- everything was adorable! I guess that's why I enjoyed this movie. Makes me want to have a Lumpy stuffed toy, even if I don't usually do stuffed toys.
