This oil cleanser is able to remove all of the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen from my face just as effectively as the towelette, but in a gentler way that leaves my face feeling less irritated. I think I’ll be replacing my towelettes with this cleansing oil from now on. I’m excited to buy the refill when I’m done with this bottle! Ideally start with dry skin! If your hands or face are wet, be sure to dry them before using. These products need to be applied to dry skin with dry hands. That said, the Speedy Cleansing Oil is advertised to work even if you have wet hands. Third, jojoba oil moisturizes the skin through a unique dual action:on the one hand, it mixes with sebum and forms a thin, non-greasy, semi-occlusive layer; on the other hand, it absorbs into the skin through pores and hair follicles thendiffuses into the intercellular spaces of the outer layer of the skin to make it soft and supple. At first glance, it seems like your average emollient plant oil: it looks like an oil and it's nourishing and moisturizing to the skin but if we dig a bit deeper, it turns out that jojoba oil is really special and unique: technically - or rather chemically - it's not an oil but awax ester (and calling it an oil is kind of sloppy). Other than rice bran oil, this oil cleanser also includes mineral oil. According to a study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, cosmetic-grade mineral oil does not cause acne, and in my experience, I find that to be true. However, YMMV—if you know that your skin reacts horribly to mineral oil, then you should probably avoid this cleanser.

Mineral Oil, Cyclomethicone, Safflower Oil, Tocopherol, Jojoba Seed Oil, Glycerin, Water, Phenoxyethanol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Corn Germ Oil, Ascorbyl Dipalmitate, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Rose Hip Oil, Trilaureth-4 Phosphate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Orange Oil, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Rice Bran Oil, PEG-8 Glyceryl Isostearate, COIX LACRYMA-JOBI MA-YUEN SEED OIL This first option is the most-sold, most-reviewed and highest-rated product from this range! It also has a super affordable price tag, making it a great starting point if you’ve never tried a cleansing oil before. It allows you to dip your toe into the world of cleansing oils, without the need to invest in one of the more luxury cleansers. To use this cleansing oil, apply a pump of it to your dry face and rub it all around, then apply a bit of warm water. At this point, you should start to see some white foam appearing on your face—this is a sign that the oils and grime and sunscreen are breaking down. Keep rubbing it around your face, gradually adding more warm water as needed, and you’ll be able to rinse it all clean. Follow with a traditional non-oil-based cleanser and you’re good to go.

Always when I use makeup I start with an oil cleanser. My skin type is super dry so using oil cleansers is absolutely the best match for my skin. I do double cleanse whenever I have been using more makeup, during summer time, or when I just feel like a deeper cleanse. Since my skin is really dry I tend to stay away from too much foam cleansing during winter time. Our Promise: Kiyoko Beauty guarantees 100% authenticity of all our products and is a trusted partner for Asian Beauty brands. You should try Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil because it cleanses makeup well, doesn’t leave a film and is appropriate for dry skin as its not stripping

Badmouthing mineral oil is a favorite sport of many, it is a cheap material and being connected to petrolatum makes it fairly easy to demonize. While it is true that industrial grade mineral oil contains carcinogenic components (so-calledpolycyclic compounds), these are completely removed from cosmetic and food grade mineral oil and there is no scientific data showing that the pure, cosmetic grade version is carcinogenic. It's also loaded with fatty acids(mostly linoleic (50-74%) and oleic (14-35%)). The unrefined version(be sure to use that on your skin!) is especially high in linoleic acid that is great even for acne-prone skin. Its comedogen index is 0, meaning that it's pretty much an all skin-type oil. It is a great emollient and moisturizer working mainly by occlusivity.Occlusivity is one of the basic mechanisms of how moisturizers work and it means that mineral oilsits on top of the skin and hinders so-called trans-epidermal water loss, i.e water evaporating out of your skin. When compared to heavy-duty plant oil, extra virgin coconut oil, the two of them were equally efficient and safe as moisturizers in treating xerosis, a skin condition connected to very dry skin.

A clear, oily liquid that comes from refining crude oil. Even though it is a highly controversial ingredient, the scientific consensus is that it is a safe, non-irritating and effective emollient and moisturizer working mainly by occlusivity. You probably know olive oil from the kitchen as a great and healthy option for salad dressing but it's also agreat and healthy option to moisturize and nourish the skin, especially if it's on the dry side. Trust us, if something is used for more than 100 years in cosmeticproducts, it hasadvantages. Chemically speaking, cosmetic grade mineral oil is a complex mixture ofhighly refined saturated hydrocarbons with C15-50 chain length. It is not merely a "by-product" but rather a specifically isolated part of petroleum that is very pure and inert. The preservative in it is phenoxyethanol, so it is paraben free (if that matters to you). It also contains some moisturizing ingredients like glycerin and jojoba seed oil. Jojoba oil provides anti-inflammatory benefits and could hold promise for helping to repair skin conditions like acne and eczema, according to this article. Kose Softymo Deep Treatment Cleansing Oil vs. Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing OilSoftymo Cleansing Oil contains natural moisturizing ingredients for easy removal of facial and eye makeup. Our intro did get pretty big after all (sorry for that), so let's get to the point finally: sunflower oil - similar to other plant oils - is a great emollient that makes the skin smooth and nice and helps to keep it hydrated. It also protects the surface of the skin and enhances the damaged or irritated skin barrier. Leslie Bauman notes in Cosmetic Dermatology that one application of sunflower oil significantly speeds up the recovery of the skin barrier within an hour and sustains the results 5 hours after using it. It seemed like a good option for me, and would possibly be a bit more eco-friendly than using a disposable makeup-removing towelette every night. Not only a simple moisturizer but knows much more: keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state, protects against irritation, helps to restore barrier
