Peacemaker is an incredible contradiction of a character. The hero first appeared in a mid-1960s Charlton Comics title, but he became part of DC continuity when the latter company bought the former. (Fun fact: The characters in Watchmen were pastiches of Charlton characters, and Peacemaker was the inspiration for The Comedian.) Peacemaker, whose real name is Christopher Smith, is just a guy who loves peace so much that he will not hesitate — not even a little — to use deadly force to ensure that there’s peace. Later comics would reveal that the reason Peacekeeper is so dead-set on creating peace is because he suffers from mental illness and is being tormented by shame because his father was a Nazi who worked at a concentration camp. The Suicide Squad’s Peacemaker, played by wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, will star in a Peacemaker spin-off series for HBO Max. Academy Award-winning actor Jared Leto was cast to portray the Joker in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer. [2] Leto described his role as "nearly Shakespearean" and a "beautiful disaster of a character;" about portraying the villain, he stated, "I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn't imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing these psychological games. But at the same time it was very painful." In preparation for the role, Leto utilized method acting, spent his time alone and listened to gospel music from the 1920s—commenting he senses "Joker may be much older than people think"—and read literature on shamanism. Influences for the character's appearance include the work of Alejandro Jodorowsky. [3] The Joker's tattoos were added by Ayer, who believed it gave the character a modernized gangster look. [4] Leto also shaved his eyebrows for the role. [5] This is not Hot Toys' first rendition of the Joker, as there are versions ranging from the Batman '66 take, to figures not seen in the actual films -- including figures that were sculpted in the "spirit of the movie." The latest newest version captures Leto's looks with a newly painted head-sculpt, featuring a more serious "smile." I read an article that stated David Ayer only had six weeks to put a script together and it unfortunately it shows. I felt like I was watching a long trailer - cool and fun scenes that were disconnected from each other. The worst of the worst—that's who. Yeah, we're referring to the Suicide Squad, and they knew justice had a bad side. But they're not the only ones—their band of ragtag, outcast, badass fans just like you had a hunch, too.

The original comics version of Weasel was a man, not a rodent. John Monroe made his debut in a 1985 issue of Firestorm, and he was essentially a meek guy who got fed up with people ignoring him or dismissively calling him “a weasel.” He takes revenge on those whom he perceives to have wronged him by dressing up as a weasel and murdering them, as one does. So happy that the film got an R rating because the suicide squad story should be like that. It should be full of blood, comedy, craziness, violence, disgusting action scenes, and curse words. Thank god they didn't care about the film being PG 13+ or whatever so more people could see it. And I feel like James Gunn was behind that part. It's not a suicide squad film if there were no sexual, bloody, violent, and disgusting content. For the third time, Margot Robbie proves that she is the best portrayal of Harley Quinn and I cannot imagine anyone other than her as Harley Quinn. She presents the beauty, craziness, and wildness of the character. Idris Alba really surprised me. His character was very well written and Idris played it so right. The real surprise was John Cena. Personally, I don't like Cena's acting. But, in this film his acting was alright and the thing that helped him is how good his character (Peacemaker) is written. Especially that Peacemaker has a huge impact on the story of the film and the future of DCEU. Daniela Melchior gave the film such a warm/soft vibe and her acting was well done especially in the emotional scenes.
