There are some big leaps forward in time, but for the most part I didn't felt that I needed to know the detail of what had happened in the intervening years. It's only towards the end, when suddenly there are children and grandchildren, that it feels too rushed. This is a book about love, trust, mysticism, family, acceptance, humanity, compassion and so much more In a Thousand Different Ways: the gripping, unforgettable new novel from the Sunday Times number 1 bestselling author This was my first title by Cecilia Aherne and I was thoroughly engrossed in the story and am now keen to discover more of her writing. Tell me about your new novel, In a Thousand Different Ways. What was the inspiration and how did it evolve?

Claire is a professional photographer and writer lives by the the sea with her two young children, husband and cat in the South West of the UK. As Alice matures she searches for her own place in life, with a career and a home of her own. She tries to come to grips with her synesthesia and learns different coping mechanisms. This is an uplifting tale of people coping with different problems (for example, Alice's best friend from school has Tourette's syndrome) and managing to succeed. He is a forensics and ballistics expert for the federal government — if anyone's qualified to determine the murder weapon, it's him. A stunning, wonderful, powerful tale: Alice lives with her mother and two brothers, one older and one younger. Alice has synaesthesia (to see or feel in colours)only this isn't recognised until she is older and sadly she is seen as being different and a trouble maker. She sees the anger in her mother and the calm in her older brother. Imagine being able to see and hence make a judgement of someone by the colour surrounding them. When there is a crowd you are overwhelmed, when seeing strangers you can make a call. When Hugo, her older brother, goes to university and her younger brother is on the wrong side of the law it is left to Alice to look after her mother as she is now in a wheelchair.

This story is pretty fast pace and I think and I think the writing is just absolutely wonderful clearly wonderful Celia never disappoints me. It's definitely one of those stories which is unforgettable and I don't really want to give too much away so that people actually get to read it and enjoy it like I did

I'm not just invested in this community — I love every building, every business, every hard-working member of this town. Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" Written by: Elton John& Bernie Taupin / Produced by: Per Magnusson& David Kreuger– 3:43 Such a, unique, extraordinary story, I was drawn in from the beginning and could almost feel the colours of the different characters as Alice saw them this was so beautifully written. I cried so many tears and will miss Alice kelly for a very long time.Wow what a fantastic book. The concept of seeing a persons emoticons as an aura and how it affects the life of the person seeing the aura. Alice realised at 8 years of age that she could see the colours of people's moods swirling around them, changing with their thoughts and desires; manifesting their actions. Bewildered by her curse (or is it a gift?), it causes her to be distracted, distant, and different, as others' auras reach out and attempt to affect and influence her too. She must even deflect people's happiness because, 'you shouldn't steal someone else's happiness. You have to make your own.' Alice needs to find a way to live with herself and live her life, in spite of the colourful insights she sees, 'wondering why it is that I see every part of everyone and most of them never see me at all.' This book is her journey: hiding, deflecting and manipulating and finally accepting: her differences become her strength. I Want to Know What Love Is" (guest vocal by Suzie McNeil) Written by: Michael Jones / Produced by: Russ Irwin, Marti Frederiksen & Charlton Pettus– 3:41

After graduating from The Bournemouth Arts Institute with a first class degree in Photography, Claire worked for a number of years in the publishing industry including as Technique Editor for Digital Camera magazine. The story follows Alice with her gift, and the people in her life – her disturbing and difficult relationship with her Mother and Brother Ollie, her elder Brother Hugh and then later her first boyfriend, husband, children and grandchildren. They've worked against everything we've worked so hard to build, and they don't care who gets hurt in the process. Make no mistake, they're the enemy, and they won't stop until we're all destroyed. After years of this type of disrespect from your boss, countless hours wasted, birthdays missed … it's time that you took a stand.
