Technical performance are quite excellent with the Arya, which is to be expected at this price range but not always achieve. The ear cups are designed to mimic the shape of the human ear, and they are beveled to contour the shape of the wearer's head. The pads are actually pleather with a polyester surface, which HiFiMan says helps to increase sound transparency. I find them to be generously cushy and comfortable. Personally, though, I find the ear cup to be large for my smaller ears and head. I feel like they occupy a sizable portion of side-of-head real estate. With the headband on the tightest setting, the ear cups still grazed the top of my jaw. This wasn't painful, just weird. This isn't a deal breaker for smaller heads, but know that if you have a larger one, you'll probably find this to be a good fit. TrebleThe Arya in its first edition had a few minor quirks here, notably in the 6khz and 8khz region, making it prone to sibilance with certain songs and sometimes being a bit too aggressive with genres like metal. The V2 fixed both quirks but kept the clarity and airiness. I don’t know how and why this company can exist selling these…“headphones” for the prices they do. They are the Softears of the overear world, it’s insane. Built quality-wise, I think the Hifiman Arya v3 is designed and built with quality in mind. While I am not a fan of some of the materials used on the headphone, like the plastic parts. I think it was necessary to keep its weight down. Though, I don’t think it will add a noticeable amount of weight if Hifiman used real leather instead of pleather.

Most if not all planar Headphones are hard to drive and benefit from good amping power, and the Arya is sure no exception but I wouldn't say they are harder to drive than the Sundara, yet perhaps a bit even more capricious.Speaking of comfort, the Arya SE weights 430g, which is right in the middle of being light and heavy. Its whole design though, especially the suspension strap headband design makes it a joy to use. The weight distribution is spot-on, the earpads are plush and pleasant to the touch, which makes it a headphone that you’ll be able to use for the whole day without breaking a sweat. The Focal Clear Mg is another beast at the same price range but this time the sound signature differences from the Arya are quite pronounced. If I would have known about this I would have waited instead of getting my 1000 V1, c'est la vie. My V1 are still the best combination of soundstage with precision imaging and subbass extension I have heard to date. Sorry if someone has already asked this, but has anyone compared the Arya Organic to any of the HE1000 models (HE1000v2, HE1000 Stealth, or HE1000se)?

Instruments and voices are reproduced with an earth-like quality, almost organic, there is an increased sense of musicality combined with great lucidity, you can hear behind the lines, this is a highly convincing and atmospheric musical experience. Your not sit at same table of your favorite singer with the Arya, but in a grand hall with a spot light on it's presence, which is fully extract in spatial cue.The included cable is a 1.5m long, single crystalline copper cable with cotton reinforcement, ending in a 6.35mm plug. I usually don't progress the burning process but this time I was asked to do and I have to report that the treble really settled down, smoothened and sounded less bright/etched after the suggested time of use, so new owners should be patient and do not rush into early conclusions. Soundstage and imaging:Imaging characteristics are improved hugely here, it’s one of the first apparent things when you put on these headphones, assess the balance and tonality. Whereas the Arya V2 seduced with a large and tall soundstage that had good depth leading to a coherent sense of spac But apparently there are people who like these for whatever reasons I can not understand. Certainly not because they play instruments and/or know how they sound in real live.

Inside those earcups are HIFIMAN’s massive planar magnetic drivers engineered by the new stealth magnet system. The company isn’t big on disclosing specs, but since the cups are see-through, we can get an idea of how big a driver we’re working with: I can see this as high fidelity presentation that permit a greater appreciation of instrument resolution, texture details and accurate spatial positioning. How thin is the diaphragm? It's so thin that if you were to view it from the side, you wouldn't be able to see it.The Final D8000, Sony MDR-Z1R or the Sennheiser HD820 are faaaaaar superior to the Susvara in every single aspect you could think of and cost a fraction. The treble is the star of the show with the Arya. It's effortless in detailing, open and airy in snap and decay, it have this appealing brilliance and sparkle to it too. The highs are out of your head, adding airyness to spatiality and extra dimension in sharpened sound layering. Now into the soundstage. I remember the original Arya as a very spacious and open-sounding headphone. When I listened to the Arya SE for the first time I was actually quite surprised, as it is an intimate and close-sounding headphone. The imaging and separation are both brilliant but don’t expect a huge soundstage around your head. It somehow reminds me of the LCD-X 2021, as both headphones don’t offer acres of space around you, but rather a small and precise staging. Don't look for accessories, you are not going to find anything, no carrying case, not even a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter.
