Perhaps at some point in development Retro Fighters were intending Brawler 64 to have built-in rumble, as they’re not needed for structural integrity.

It works wonderfully on the Switch as well, so awkward controls with the NSO N64 lineup are a thing of the past. After much feedback from the retro gaming community, we’ve upgraded the feel of “Z” triggers to have a more “digital” press versus an “analog” pull. It took less than five minutes to make the adjustment of the much needed analog stick, but I could not imagine playing Super MARIO 64 with the old trident controller.

Despite the omission of rumble capabilities I believe this controller to be the best purchase for those who want a wireless n64 one. Starting with the aesthetics, the Brawler64 retains the classic look that us die-hard N64 fans love, while simultaneously incorporating a more modern, ergonomic design.

I don’t have Xbone controller to test whether or not it fits into the rocker slot or has enough room to function as intended.

You can easily go from NSO N64 button layout to the traditional Switch Pro controller button layout with a quick press of the new “Swap” button. Each button on this controller is very responsive, including the Z button that has now been transitioned to a trigger on both the left and right side of the controller - very similar feel to the L2 and R2 triggers on a PlayStation 4 controller (which is a very good thing in my opinion).
