Though I wanted to slap Ryan so many times throughout this book because he was just horrible to her…. I also have strong feelings about the ending -despite how much I wanted those two to get back together and Ryan to know the truth, after he did I couldn't forgive him, and even though it didn't make sense for Becca since she'd wanted to get back the whole time, her speech to him about how it wasn't okay when he finally found out, that they couldn't be together again because of how he'd treated her for a year, was how I wish it had ended instead of them getting back together after some years of penance on his part.

And he still screwed other girls left and right while “waiting” for Becca in those 4-5 years that Becca was supposedly healing from her trauma etc. What I didn’t understand how people didn’t see how she was jerky around people and football players.The constant repeating of "these are my best friends" "we've known each other forever" "he's the best looking guy I know" we get it girl, we get it. Look I can appreciate wanting to tackle this subject matter, I think its important that we tell stories of the aftermath of sexual assault/rape.THINGS I DIDN'T LOVE: It made me so upset that Becca waited until something happened to another girl and she just let people assume the worst of her before telling Ryan, because it seemed like needless drama that didn't quite fit who Becca was before everything happened. I didn't really enjoy the first novel, but I decided to chance continuing in the series because it had some redeeming qualities.

It's my hidey-hole, my refuge, my escape from the droll reality that a never-ending routine sometimes gets you into, it lets me escape for an hour or so into many fantastic worlds and experience things I can only dream of. I thought it was quite bold of the author to make you go through that motion of hating him and not making him a total victim in his own right. And when she did, my heart tore into pieces again, watching everything that she put up to be broken in to pieces left for only her to pick up. I read Four doors down and it was very good this is the second book and it hits every nerve in my body, taking you on a journey of loving and hating Ryan.I think it spent too much time focusing on the love interest’s feelings and less about the actual MC and the multiple issues happening throughout the book. I found the first book in the series full, predictable and with really juvenile, unlikeable characters and I wasn’t going to bother reading this one.
