The panel arrives pre-calibrated and out of the box the image quality is fantastic, so there’s little need to jump into the monitor’s menus, but do so and you won’t find any gremlins. Included in the box are a DisplayPort and USB (upstream) cable, a Quick Start Guide, and a resource CD containing drivers and a User Manual. Dell has been using a muted silver and black livery for its UltraSharp monitors for years, and it still works superbly on the U2417H. A stylish slim-bezelled panel, fully adjustable stand, plenty of connectivity and a 99% sRGB IPS panel combine to make it ideal for those seeking quality without verging into pro territory. Pivot the display around into portrait mode and its easy to find all the sockets you need and get all your cables plugged in.Granted, the U2417H's 1,920-by-1,080 panel can't match that of the Acer H257HU (2,560 by 1,440), but its overall performance is on par with the Acer H257HU, and it is equipped with more features, including a fully adjustable stand, a high-speed USB hub, three digital video inputs, and a video output for daisy-chaining multiple monitors.
