I could visualise the ramshackle old house that she subsequently inherits at a totally desperate time of her life and, just when it seems nothing can possibly get worse, it does. Her 15 years old Kitty misses her friends from her old place and Thierry is still keeping his silence after dealing with tragedy of losing his father. At night Isabel plays her beloved violin whilst accepting that she can’t jet off round the world performing as she used to. Her neighbours, Laura and Matt, do nothing in the slightest to make her feel welcome to the village; on the contrary Matt is out for revenge and Laura is lost in her ever crumbling world. All Isabel ever wanted to do was devote her life to her music, but now with her husband gone, she has to try to provide for her children.

Two men who each like her - one is wealthy, sleeps around and doesnt care about his family, the other is the strong silent type who obviously has a past. Isabelle was an infuriating character, I couldn't root for her or feel sorry for her even though she was grieving for her dead husband and her life had turned upside down. But when he dies, they are in for a shock when the house is left to the last surviving member of the family Isabel Delancey. Isabel Delancey finds herself in dire straits when she realizes that her money is running out, and with two children to support, she has to face some harsh realities. Losing her husband and having to confront her problems made her grow up immensely and let her prove a better mother to her children as a result. The great thing about Jojo Moyes is that every one of her books are different so there is something for everyone. Recently widowed Isabel has been left in a difficult financial situation by her deceased husband and can no longer afford to keep the swish London home she now occupies with her two children.

It's a story of new beginnings and friendship; a novel about relationships and the importance of family life.I have the intros to two of her books in the back of Me Before You to help me decide which book of hers to read next. Fiica ei Kitty are 15 ani și se simte datoare să țină familia în picioare, să o înlocuiască pe mama ei, atunci când aceasta se retrage în lumea ei.

She is a violinist whose entire world had consisted of music, she is a mother of two children, Kitty and Thierry, but is a hopeless mother who had left the childcare to others.Isabel will discover an instinct for survival she never knew she had – and that a heart can play a new song .

I love Jojo Moyes, her books are always really different from each other and her style is so easy to follow, it is like getting into your comfy slippers. On a side note, many thanks to the author for giving me a fit of giggles when Byron Firth emerges all wet and dripping from a lake – wonder where her inspiration for that scene lay?The story has some ups and downs, personal growth, a little bit of sex, manipulation, lies, family secrets and problems just to name a few of the themes within the book. Night Music' is a story about 'The Spanish House' - recently inherited by newly widowed Isabel and her two children. With the house falling down around them, and the last of her savings disappearing fast, Isabel turns to her neighbors for help, not knowing that her mere presence there has stirred up long-standing obsessions.
