And to top it all the mid-volume reveal that Mayor Zucco is actually Dick's half-sister actually worked for me. Dick is such a great guy and Tom Taylor, with the help of the fantastic art by Bruno Redondo, manages to make Dick's warmth personality jump out of the page. And while some of my complaints are geared toward Dick’s mission to create a safety net for Blüdhaven’s poor and needy, I do like that there isn’t a city destroying threat at play. I haven't been interested in keeping up with DC lately, but this is one title that I'm glad I didn't miss out on.

Bruno Redondo’s and Adriano Lucas’ work catches your eye and you don’t mind simply pouring over the art. Lucas’ colors are also tantamount to Redondo’s success as every choice he makes is perfect, especially the soft pink and purple hues of Dick’s apartment lighting, which adds a dash of romance to Dick’s solo scenes with Barbara. He truly understands these characters and he places them in situations that pulls on your heartstrings.Taylor has written for DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, Wildstorm, 2000 AD and Gestalt Comics. With all this new found money Dick is now a billionaire, and wants to make a difference in Bludhaven. As part of his will, Alfred, who was secretly a billionaire, would give his fortune to Dick following his death.
