Below 180w it all fees very smooth and quiet. Above this, I get a deep rumble sound and a vibration which occurs rhythmically with each pedal stroke. It happens in all gears and is more related to how much power is being produced. The deep sound and vibration get worse as power resistance up. The vibration is not severe – I would say it is similar to riding outside on an old road or a gravel trail, as compared to a nice new smooth road – but it is rhythmic – associated with the power phase of the pedal stroke.

Do ensure that you set the wheel size on the combination using the Wahoo App, that way it knows how much it can descend properly. It only takes a second to do: Speaking of the Wahoo app, it’s here that you can turn on or off a handful of settings. One most notable setting I like to turn off is ERG mode smoothing.
